onuman:Any sane human should understand the meaning of “democracy “. A 99 year old person has the right to contest for an election and the right to be voted for. Jonathan was young, what happened Most of the state governors are young, lawmakers are young, the accountant general is a young man, but here is the question Why are we still backward It’s simply because of people like you… people wey go just open mouth without thinking…. Southwest is the most developed and most peaceful part of Nigeria. Do you know I am sure you don’t…. That Lagos wey of una dey move to, ya’ll will soon need green card to stay in that Lagos… let’s move a city boy to asorock, you are saying rubbish |

Maxymilliano: And unfortunately, not even in America does the populace hold the sole power to vote in their choice. In Nigeria it is worse. Buhari didn't win the 2019 election, according to me and other observers. The man will choose the APC flagbearer and also make sure he success him. It will take Nigerians voting overwhelmingly for a different candidate to overturn Buhari's choice. Know this and know peace. |

anonymous1759: It's already over for PDP. Same goes to APC. The electorate seems to be realizing that they have the power to decide the party that leads which in this case seems more likely to be LP. My only shock is.... How did Nigerians, who are undoubtedly the happiest salves on earth suddenly decide to wise up and look away from their Oppressors? Did God just bless the brains of Nigerians (a largely daft set of people) overnight? Or is there something I am not understanding. |

africanpride1: Lagos, was nowhere near the east in distance, but the east kicked some real ass. To top everything you have said, the eastern regions was the fastest growing economy IN THE WORLD. When Igbos do things, we don't do African standard, like Awolowo. The east topped the whole world in terms of economic growth. So everything you have written is mere tittle-tattle compared to what the eastern region achieved. Your double-crossing, rat poison-drinking father could never match up to the great Zik who was a colossus in Africa. Thank God Azikiwe discovered Awo's attempt at double-crossing. The south would have been in a sorrier state right now 1 Like |

Indispensable85: That means you don't know Northerners. Tambuwal did it for Atiku last weekend. As soon as Buhari names his successor, all significant ranks closes in the North within the APC. Anyone opposing afterwards would doing be himself or herself great disservice. Party is supreme. The president remains the leader of the party. 1 Like 1 Share |

RHMSTECH: A country where a 99 year old is seeking to be elected president must be a Banana Republic where the opportunities of the younger generations, including you, were muscled up by the older generations. That Lagos you talked about was the capital city of Nigeria which was built from the resources of all Nigeria. So long as Nigeria exists, Lagos remains home to all Nigerians. When you get the Oduduwa Republic you are struggling for, you can set new laws on who can, and who cannot, come to live in Lagos. People who live in Lagos contribute taxes to build the city. 2 Likes |

DownChelsea: To be sincere LP will not go anywhere at moment they will come 4th . I would have voted Peter Obi In PDP but I’ll definitely give my vote to APC if a southern candidate emerges. If APC cedes her ticket to the North I’ll sleep in my house on election and drink beer . I’ll never vote any Northerner In 2022. I supported APC in 2015 but at the rate of killings by these Fulani extremists Atiku or any other Hausa candidate will be part 3 of Fulani massacre. If Southerner wins these Extremists power will be tamed . 1 Like 1 Share |

Ndume is trying to be clever by half! Barack Obama began to support Joe Biden after becoming the Democratic party flag bearer which is expected. He didn't singlehandedly impose him on the Democrats. The type being practiced here in Nigeria is autocracy masquerading as democracy where a single individual imposes his choice on a political party. This is a dangerous trend and must stop. That a person is alleged to be in the habit of "wrong" doing doesn't makes it "good" by legitimizing or making it a norm! Democracy, they say, is a government of THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE and BY THE PEOPLE! Alas, it is now being defined as the government of ONE MAN for ONE MAN and by ONE MAN! LET THERE BE A LEVEL PLAYING FIELD FOR ALL ASPIRANTS! THAT IS THE BEAUTY OF DEMOCRACY! |
