PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the north at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The meeting is coming a day before the commencement of the party’s convention to elect its presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.

Although President Buhari has maintained his position on the consensus arrangement, there has not been any agreement among the 23 presidential aspirants.

The meeting with the APC governors from the north is the fourth parley in his effort to ensure that the party presents a consensus candidate so as to reduce acrimony that may arise at the end of the convention.

The governors in attendance are Chairman of Progressive Governors Forum and governor of Kebbi state, Atiku Bagudu, chairman of Northern governors Forum and governor of Plateau State, Simeon Lalong, Abubakar Baduru (Jigawa) and Babagana Zulum (Borno).

Others are Aminu Bello Masari (Katsina), Abdullahi Sule (Nasarawa), Bello Matawale (Zamfara), Mallam Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Yahaya Inuwa (Gombe), Abubakar Bello (Niger), and the Yobe State governor, Mai Mala Buni.

As at the time of sending this report, only the governor of Kogi, Yahaya Bello was yet to arrive.

Inspite of all that happened at owo yesterday, this man couldn’t even declare A National Day of Mourning for the souls his government took unjustly.

Instead na to choose im successor e dey after.

I guess he’s Informing them of his choosen successor now.

The successor who’s to come and continue the good (sic) works he has started. Smh

Whoever supports this government needs serious psychiatric evaluation.

They want to pick a running mate for Tinubu. A Muslim/Muslim ticket undoubtedly sets a very bad precedence but so also does a Fulani Buhari 8yrs president followed by another Fulani Atiku 8 yrs Presidency, which is far worst.

I have chosen my poison carefully. I would rather a Muslim/Muslim ticket where federal power returns to the South so that we can speak to those killer fulani herdsmen and other terrorists in the language they understand and stop their carnage across the South, than to have another Fulani Miyetti Allah sponsor and Sheik Gumi friend named Atiku continue the disaster from where Buhari stopped. Atiku that has said he is against anti-grazing laws, that it is unconstitutional, he will definitely be worst than Buhari.

Atiku can pretend all he wants and deceive his foolish supporters in the South but some of us can see through his ethno-religious coloration and tribalistic shenanigans.

Why can't Buhari allow the primary election flow freely? His constant interference would spell doom for the party if care is not taken. Well, the party's downfall won't be a bad idea sha.
