The Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) On Friday announced that due to the reports it received from some states about “unforeseen surge in the amount of citizens that's willing to register as voters and the challenges they face across the country,” it held a meeting and agreed to deploy an extra 209 machines to the five South-Eastern states, Lagos and Kano where the pressure is most acute. https://news1.com.ng/post/INEC-pressured-to-extend-voter-registration-deadline-and-surge-increases https://news1.com.ng/
