Most marriages in contemporary India are arranged by the parents. So dating and courtship usually start after that. Only in the city would you find the western culture of dating. In many less urban areas the parents look for the groom for their girls and sometimes the guys parents look for a bride.

Their culture is 100% responsible for the runway..
When families turns their matured men to undergrown babies.. still be dictating for men till their 50s... forcing wives on their sons when they are not in love or in relationship with them...
