Your "speaking the word by faith" is no different from what the Pagans and Babalawos do aka incantations. What is written is not meant to be used as if magic spells. undecided

Jesus Christ never asked any man to doing what you do by the way, and if you opened your eyes to reality of things, you will see how Christianity looks nothing different from Paganism these days as a result of folks adopting pagan ideas pretending they do so on behalf of God.. undecided

When the devil came to tempt Jesus Christ, he used the word of God against the devil and the devil left him.

Jesus Christ told the devil it is written; man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from God.

So because of that word Jesus Christ spoke the devil could not make him turn stone to bread.

There is power in the word of God.

1. Interesting! Yet the same Jesus Christ, who said His friends are those who do as He says(not as He did) - John 15 vs 14 - , never taught His followers to speak to the devil as He did when Satan confronted Him. So why do you tale it on yourself to doing that which Jesus Christ never asked to you do pretending you do so in His name?, undecided

2. Where do you get the idea that the devil can make anyone do anything to begin with? According to Jesus Christ, all the bad things you ro comes from what is stored up on the inside of you, so what has Satan to do with that - Matthew 15 vs 15 - 20 & Mark 7 vs 20 - 24. undecided

1)The scripture says resist the devil and he will flee from you.

To resist the devil you have to use the word of God, the same way Jesus Christ use the word of God in Defeating the devil when he came to tempt him in the wilderness.
Christians obey the word of God which requires every child of God to use the word by; putting their trust in the word of God, putting the word of God to practice and speaking the word out as a weapon to fight the evil one who is the adversary to the people of God.

2)Satan is the enemy of the people of God, and can manipulate a person who is not doings what God wants to commit sin. That is why the scripture says resist the devil and he will run away from you.

3)Jesus Christ is the word of God and the word of God is truth. The word of God is every word that comes from God. Even before Jesus Christ was born, the word of God exist. Prophet Moses spoke the word of God to the people of isreal in Egypt with faith thou they don't believe at first but later when they saw the miracle Moses perform they believe. So when you speak the word of God with faith, you are not speaking in vain because God require his people to have faith in him

1. I know what Paul said about you needing to resist the devil, what I don't know of however is where you get this notion that in order to do so, you must engage in that which Jesus Christ never commanded of you to begin with. undecided

By the way, did you know that scripture instead reveals the only one with Power to rebuke Satan is God, and what Jesus Christ did after He was in the wilderness was rebuke Satan, not resist Him. So, aren't you confusing Paul's suggestion to you with something entirely different to begin with? undecided

2. Where exactly in scripture did Jesus Christ, the one who is the Word of God and commander of Christians, tell you that as part of your obedience of Him, the King, you ought also to "speak the word out as a weapon to fight the evil one who is the adversary to the people of God" as you claim? undecided

3. Jesus Christ is the King and Law in the Kingdom of God yet He never did state that Satan is the enemy of the people of God so where do you get that idea from? undecided

Now, according to Jesus Christ, what you should resist are the bad things which you have stored up in your heart which in fact cause you to sin, implying that the devil had to to with all the bad things or lies you have stored up in your heart which prevent you from obeying God's Word and Law to you. So when Paul tells you to resist the devils and your interpretation of what he said leads you to doing that which is antiChrist aka not commanded by Jesus Christ to begin with, doesn't that inform you of the truth of what Jesus Christ stated in Matthew 15 vs 15 - 20 and Mark 7 vs 20 - 23 which is that the source of sin in your life in fact comes from within you? undecided

4. Yet nowhere in Scripture do you find God directly commanding that you chant His Word as you do today. Doesn't this cause you to stop and think carefully about what it is you believe vs what it is God in fact commanded of you to obey to begin with? undecided

3. Faith means trust and obedience of God's actual commandments to you and it is in having faith that you do works. So how can doing that not commanded of God to begin with amount to faith or doing works for God? undecided

1. The low down of this is both verses are technically in tally as far as God's judgment in Genesis 3 vs 19 - 22 is concerned. Those who die unbelievers condemned by God's judgment cease to exist in the grave whereas those who believe in God and have Life as a result do not cease to exist in the grave, and so sleep to be raised again either in this life or the resurrection(s) to come. undecided

In the Old Covenant, we read of Elijah in one case raising a boy from the dead - 1 Kings 17:17-24 -, and then Elisha raising the son of the Woman of Shunem - 2 Kings 4:32-37. . So even in His Old Covenant Law aka the National Law given to the State of Israel by God aka YHWH, resurrection of the dead was not out of place, same as it ain't in His New Covenant, Jesus Christ. undecided

2. Are you certain that in Matthew 19 vs 28, Jesus Christ tells you that He will judge the 12 tribes of Israel? Or is it instead the case that He said that His followers will sit and judge the 12 tribes of Israel? undecided

1. The writers of the statements you quoted from both Hebrews and Job did not use those particular terms. They also did not insinuate that the claim made was of God, so those opinions are noted as such, opinions. However, from what is known of God's Truth (Word out of God's own Mouth) ,it is true that once the breath leaves a man, judgment as stipulated in Genesis 3 vs 19 - 22 takes place. undecided

1b. As I said, the low down is indeed a man dies once and is judged by that decreed by God in Genesis 3 vs 19 - 22 exactly once. So that stated in the letter to the Hebrews tallies with that. undecided

As for that written in Job, since it isn't clear when and where the story came from, it is hard to insist that the author had God's Constitution to the Nation of Israel in mind when writing of the fate of the dead who sleep there. Other than that, the claim that people will remain in their grave until the time of the resurrection also tallies with God's decree. undecided

2. Why not His followers? As He clearly stated there in that verse, it is His followers that will judge the 12 tribes of Israel. There is ofcourse a reason why it has to be His followers, and not Him, one of them being that He was not sent to judge/condemn Israel but to save Israel. But that story may be for an entirely different thread. undecided

3. How exactly did I twist that scripture for Pete's sake? Do you not believe what it is you read there or what? undecided
28 Jesus said to them, “When the time of the new world comes, the Son of Man will sit on his great and glorious throne. And I can promise that you who followed me will sit on twelve thrones, and you will judge the twelve tribes of Israel. - Matthew 19 vs 28
A person sitting on a throne is a judge only when there is judgment to be made by Him. For the jews, only those who have already been judged righteous by God's Old Covenant Law .I.e. those who lived and died in righteousness will be raised to Life at the time of the resurrection meaning they will not be judged again by that standard and so no need for Jesus Christ to sit as judge over them at the time of the resurrection. undecided

hmmmm continue twisting the verse.

Ain't Jesus the judge again?

Acts 10:42
And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.

John 5:22
For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son

heheehehe keep on delusion.

John 5:24-29
'Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself, and has given Him authority to execute judgment also, because He is the Son of Man. Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice and come forth—those who have done good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation

1.Do u know job was a prophet,so u are saying he is using his own opinion and was lying?

2a. Thhis don't really related to job and Hebrew verses. Ain't no relationship with what u quoting with job and Hebrew.

2b. I always amazed with you bro. How is the statement of job has to with constitution?

3. hmmmm continue twisting the verse. Ain't Jesus the judge again?
Acts 10:42
And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead.

John 5:22
For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son
u know damn well u are twisting it.
heheehehe keep on delusion.

1. And you think prophets are devoid of opinions of their own?

Anyways, I didn't say Job lied. Again, there is absolutely no reference made in the book of Job to God's Old Covenant Law of Moses or Israel, so it is unclear if Job was even a descendant of Jacob to begin with that one should even judge his claim by God's Old Covenant stanadard. However, when judged by standard which existed before Israel and God's Old Covenant, it is clear Job's opinion does not deviate from that established by God at the time. undecided

2a. It actually does since it is in Genesis 3 vs 19 - 22 that God established the meaning and details of Death for all from His beginning. If you don't even know that then all of this is going over your head. undecided

2b. Again, how can you understand this if you don't even grasp the basics about God here. God is God of Laws. His judgments are meant to be based on His Law, like it was in the beginning with Adam. The Old Covenant Law given by Moses to the People of Israel in the Land of Canaan is God's Constitution to the Nation of Israel by which the Jews are judged by at death. undecided

3. You accuse me of twisting because you are afraid of accepting what is written as it is written. Your accusation obviously has more to do with you than it does my reality. undecided

Jesus Christ said He came to save, not to Judge or condemned Israel using God's Old Covenant Law aka Constitution. He is the Messiah and His mission is to save Israel, not judge Israel. He makes it clear in that verse - Matthew 19 vs 28 - that He will not sit as judge over Israel. None of the verses you posted proclaim Him judge over with is the 12 tribes of Israel. So why do you accuse me of fraud when clearly you don't even comprehend what you quote and debate? undecided
