liveLongNprospa: No be by that one o. Portable wey no commot for trenches, do u know how many times he has been attacked ? Where do u think the sound " I am a baboon.... I live in a zoo" come from ? Even Small doctor was beaten by awawa boys in agege (his home base) in 2018 or thereabouts. The major issue is the pervasive culture of gangsterism, cultism and hooliganism in our society that makes non state actors arrogate powers to themselves . Our law enforcement agents do not help matters too because they get setteled by these non state actors thereby giving the impression that Nigeria is a lawless country. The political class hobnobbing with some of these people kinda give them some implied legitimacy. Theflint posted pictures of Samlarry with Lagos State governor yesterday. 3 Likes 2 Shares |

BlueRayDick:It is the jungle, you are bound to get attacked from time to time but that doesn't change the fact that it is the best survival strategy because who dey attack you sef know say you get the influence to retaliate. I mean MC Oluomo has been stabbed in Lagos if I remember correctly but it doesn't change his status in this state. Yes I agree to your other points on gangsterismš 3 Likes 1 Share |

seankafor:I do not expect even the evidence to be admitted. However it is important that someone has taken it upon himself to unravel the identity of the one we call our president. This information will go along way. I also expect that the NASS will look into this crime and impeach him. If they don't, I expect Nigerians to protest against it. If we don't then Nigeria is dead. |

liveLongNprospa: Not all these guys dey get the ability to call shots even if they are cult affiliated though Nigerian Street is a different kettle of fish altogether. Davido and Burna that both claim Big 7 still have to move around with police escort, in part to protect them from their own goons. 1 Like 1 Share |

monerozi5590:No 1 and 2 are not discrepancies, they are facts. 1. The CSU president took money from Tinubu to sign the certificate. 2. The certificate they signed was a fake one. What Tinubu's lawyers are doing is to rope the school so that they can cover for him. The school itself is facing two bad options. A) Protect Tinubu and expose yourself the more as a corrupt institution or B) deny Tinubu, and swallow the shame. Option B is what they have decided. It's better to move on. |

.....one would think they genuinely love the boy. Most are using his death to gather impressions on paying apps like X and Tiktok. Dem dey use am to farm impressions on X for good pay from Elon like never before. When the boy was spoken out, did they give same energy? Samklef even did a photoshoot on top the matter, say he want fight justice wetin he talk sef. When the boy was being maltreated, did they give him any support? Rather its Marley side of story they took. Hypocrisy I am seeing everywhere on sm. They should allow the boy to rest in peace pls. They should respect his family too. They don't need all these noises at this moment of grieving. 6 Likes 1 Share |

nihilistjnr: Prospa no know some of these things. Watching the video of where Cuteabiola, OGBrecent and Kogbagidi where harrased yesterday at the burial site, one could hear some of those guys saying : " Shebi eiye ni e....wa mo pe eiye gbe eiye min" . (which roughly means "shebi u be cultist, u will know that cultist pass cultist" ) . |

OasisX: The last place to take anyone serious on topical social issues is Twitter. The only thing they do is posturing, giving hot takes they know nothing about with tactfully selected keywords to increase visibility in trends. The new payment for impressions has worsened that behaviour now. They don't care about Mohbad or what really happened to him, or the lessons - if any - to be learnt therein. It's simply posturing. In 4 or 5 days, when there's another hot trending 'gist', they'd abandon the issue, resolved or unresolved for the latest trend. Wasn't it just 5 days ago almost everyone on that platform had a hot take about Moyo Lawal's sextape? They've moved on. I dare add I became impersonal about the EndSARS issue on Twitter immediately it became a free-for-all, with everyone trying to position themselves as the faces of the movement (if one could term it so). Aisha Yesufu, Davido, ChemicalSista (a Twitter troll who hopped on the trend and positioned herself as the female face of the EndSARS while rebranding as SavvyRinu), and so many others. Same way in the last 48 hours, Twitter folks have been positioning themselves as activists with access to inside information about what really happened to Mohbad, including those who'd never listened to his his songs or knew him beyond random spatial blog postings prior to his death (like myself, for example). Twitter is mostly posturing that's why in the last few years I simply engage with only tech and venture capital tweets, and post mostly about such. Then it's ghost mode after that, not even engaging with other such hot takes even with 'likes'. Most people on Twitter are actors. Almost every opinionated Nigerian Twitterati is an actor. Avoid ever engaging with the posts of those who refer to themselves as "influencers" especially. 6 Likes 2 Shares |

All kind of publicity is good publicity. Whether they genuinely care or looking for impression talking about it and creating awareness is still a good thing. Trending and latest gist will always get more attention on social media. 1 Like |

Melvyn11: ....where is your so called good publicity when the boy was being bullied? No one can allege him of not speaking out, so where was the supports from same folks farming impressions with his death on X now?! |
Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by DissTroy(m): 10:51am On Sep 14, 2023 |
"All kinds of publicity is good publicity". No. Real life issues do not equate to PR. And PR only works when lives aren't at stake. Remember Bolanle Raheem? No? Actually, she's the lawyer who was gunned down in Lagos by the police just last December. I just checked on Twitter and there's been barely any mention of her this year. None in the last few months. The last media posting about her was BBC on March 7. Remember how it was the hottest topic on Twitter that week? Remember all the faux outrage? Where are all those activists today? Moved on to the next trending gists. We never see anything to the end. --- Remember Tagbo of DMW who died under mysterious circumstances in 2017? Remember all the hot takes? What became of those activists? Moved on! Is anyone mentioning Tagbo any longer? Do we know what happened to him? "I'm so angry right now! I can't even eat! The culprits must be brought to book!" (Insert emojis) Please! --- Pray Nigeria's flimsy system of justice never happens to you else you'd become nothing more than a casual R.I.P. and content for Twitter influencers. Twitter folks don't generally give a tuppence about you. Your misfortune is nothing more than momentary content to feed the adrenaline of bored followers. Cruel? Yes. But the harsh and hard truth. 17 Likes 7 Shares |

nihilistjnr: There are disadvantages to that lifestyle.. I don't deny that. But what we cannot downplay is that their own position has also helped save them from alot more attacks from less powerful guys who live in that world. That's the point. You have to think really hard before aiming for a top guy because you know what will happen if you miss especially if you are not on the same level. Betrayal from the inside is a common factor and it's not new but I'm sure you get my message |

DissTroy:It's the same in social media. And even real life. The important people in your life that you've lost, over time you'll mention them less and less. There are alot of people on social media who in that moment genuinely care about the stories of these dead people and lend their voice in calling for justice. |

When last did we discuss about the Ukraine war here. |
