The report says 100,000 metric tonnes. Will go a long way if true but I suspect its audio as usual.

Actually I'm checking the screenshot again and it only says 100. That can fit in 4 containers

Well, relative to the size of population, there isn't

Political parties distribute more than this in a single LGA at election time

You sure?

100,000 metric tonnes is One hundred million kg.

Divide that into 50kg bags, and that's 2 million bags of rice.

Modified: So na 100 metric tonnes?

grin grin grin grin grin

Ibime, no vex

Egg is now 200.
This I confirmed this evening.

A cup of rice is 400 naira.
A CUP OF RICE!

Guy.. How this country never catch fire?
Below is the cup used to measure rice

The egg con dey very scarce. I don't know if it's just PH. I had to visit a very big supermarket before I was able to get yesterday. All the stores around, not a single one of them had for sale.

Of course, you know what happens when a commodity becomes scarce. Price shoots through the roof.

The feeds is fcking expensive now.

That's the reason for the scarcity.

Instead of finding a solution to the inflation, na national reserves dem wan rob.

So after sharing 100 metric tonnes of rice, and even importing with a scarce dollars, what next?

Rice dey market. The problem is we cannot afford it.

So after the 2 billion tonnes have finished, we will still come back and meet our 72k per bag, where we left it.

Can someone share that manifesto again? I wan check something

It is Nigerian companies that produce it.

But those ones will definitely be importing the raw materials for the feeds.

Layers need to eat to lay eggs. So if you starve them, dem no go lay.

Except maybe dollar, I don't think anyone is hoarding any commodity

People are even scared to buy anything to sell, because of how unstable and expensive everything is.

How about medications? People are now unable to buy meds to manage their illness. I am not even talking about malaria and typhoid.

I mean people managing the likes of asthma, diabetes (insulin dependent) heart and vital organ related illnesses. It is a sad situation.

In my area, cement is scarce now. Because of the scarcity, the price of a bag of cement has now increased from around #5, 400 to around 7k.

I still cannot think of a reason why cement should be scarce.

I even had to buy 2 of these 3 bags from a neighbour.

Indeed things are not looking good, there is gradual scarcity of basic commodities...
Fuel..
Cement...
Food..(egg/pork)
Even factories who produce water went on strike last week.
As dangerous as it sounds, mass protest is looming and seems inevitable.

Pure water price is going to go up very shortly. I heard their association is consulting nationally to hike prices due of significant increase in cost of nylon sheets by the mostly Lebanese cartel.

I think the price of cement is about that 7k range now.

I have read it on NL twice; People saying they bought cement at 7k.

The country don get K-leg, both for buyers and sellers

I travelled to Lagos from PH and i paid 29,100. The bus had like 3 empty seats because there were no passengers and we had to leave.

That's almost 90k revenue lost.

The rush to remove all subsidies and most especially float the naira was the beginning of our problems

Now, they cannot manage any of the effects.
