https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7xQrcF0Zi4 Man who uses identity of customers to register multiple phone lines to sell to criminals is nabbed A man has been nabbed after he used the identity and personal information of a customer to register two different sim cards only to sell the second to criminals. The man whose identity was used confronted the suspect and filmed it. In a video shared online, the customer is seen narrating how he went to the suspect to register a sim card only for the suspect to also use his passport photograph, name, and National Identification Number (NIN) to register a second sim card which he sold to a criminal. When questioned, the suspect didn't deny his actions, instead, he tried to explain his motive. He said he was badly in need of money which is why he committed identity fraud. The customer alleged that the suspect uses the identity and details of unsuspecting customers to register sim cards which are then sold to robbers and kidnappers. When those lines are used to commit a crime, it ends up being traced to the unsuspecting customer whose identity was used. Tell me how anything wan take work for that country. Data/information can't be trusted to be safe with government employees a.k.a co-op servants neither can one trust them to be competent in handling issues like this. Outsourcing na another wahala entirely. It is either the fellow poor ones engaged by the big owners of the outsourced points to handle the business, go on to plot ways to begin to rip their fellow poor ones off by demanding cash to register or solve whatever issues they might have with the process. Everything and every way is an avenue for everyone to showcase their corrupt and thieving innermen.
