OkCornel:
So who did Emperor Nero blame and persecute for the great fire of Rome in 64AD?

Followers of someone “fabricated” by the same Roman Empire? Does this make any sense to you?
The worshipers of Serapis where called Christians...

! Have said this a 1000 times..
Re: ************************ by Maynman: 11:21pm On Jul 09, 2022
Nero blamed Chrestians, and he was right.

Were the worshippers of Serapis a “rebellious new cult” in the Roman Empire as of 64AD?

Hmmm?

This is becoming a joke if by now you don’t know the worship of Serapis was established in Rome centuries before 64AD.

I believe I’ve mentioned this on another thread

Oh wait lemme guess. Peter and Paul did not exist too? Or… they were not crucified and beheaded respectively.
If they did then they were Zealots and would not have gone to Rome

Roman Empire destroyed the Great Temple in Jerusalem, the center of the Jewish religion. In A.D. 70, Roman troops retook Jerusalem from Jewish rebels, destroyed the Great Temple, and razed the city. Hundreds of thousands died in the slaughter. About 1,000 Zealots escaped to a fort, called Masada, on a mountaintop in the desert.

Yea codex Sinaiticus grin

Re: ************************ by OkCornel(m): 11:30pm On Jul 09, 2022
That being said I’m still awaiting;

1. Evidences of all Jewish historians and scholars unanimously denying the existence of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, brother to James and Jude and;

2. Evidence that Chapter 9, Book 20 Antiquity of the Jews was forged.

Re: ************************ by Maynman: 11:32pm On Jul 09, 2022

How did Paul and Peter die before 70AD if you claim Christianity started in 70AD?

Re: ************************ by OkCornel(m): 11:35pm On Jul 09, 2022

Yes they where. The predominant religion in Rome was Mithraism
It was what was causing the wars that Constantine decided to summon them to Nicea to agree on a single religion. They voted to go with Christianity.

Interesting how everyone quietly sidestepped Tacitus accounts on Jesus Christ and the Christians, but ran to Suetonius who wrote something over a century later.

Tacitus was around 7 years old when the great fire of Rome in 64AD happened.

Oooh la la la… cheesy

Now let’s evaluate the history of the Serapis cult in Rome versus Tacitus accounts on the Christians blamed for the great fire of Rome in 64 AD.

The first screenshot shows when the cult of Serapis was established in Rome. Around second century BC.

The second screenshot is Tacitus’ accounts on who exactly was blamed for the great fire of Rome in 64 AD (Tacitus the historian was alive around this time)

How on earth was the cult of Serapis blamed for the great fire of Rome in 64AD, with all the explanations of Tacitus?

Which Christus suffered the extreme penalty from Pontius Pilate in the reign of Tiberius? Hmmm?

And how followers of this same Christus who were blamed for the great fire of Rome in 64AD
be members of the cult of Serapis which was established in Rome around 200 BC?

Somnvayina, humor me a bit with your analysis.

Re: ************************ by Maynman: 8:45am On Jul 10, 2022
All the sources for your saviour are Dubious cheesy

Re: ************************ by Maynman: 8:51am On Jul 10, 2022
Tacitus was born in 56 AD, and wrote his histories round 116 AD, aged about 60. So obviously he never knew Jesus personally, as Jesus allegedly died at least 25 years before Tacitus was born. cheesy

These Chrestians are criminals

Re: ************************ by OkCornel(m): 9:03am On Jul 10, 2022
Yawns,

Someone is so desperate to discredit Tacitus work, yet cannot provide sources for his screenshots.

Remind me the definition of dubious again?

Re: ************************ by Maynman: 9:04am On Jul 10, 2022
Fellow Desperate Chrestian forgers cheesy

Re: ************************ by Maynman: 9:05am On Jul 10, 2022
The fire was started by Chrestian. Followers of the way were first called “Chrestian” at antioch, Chrestian existed before antioch cheesy

Yawns…

Tacitus was born in 56 AD and was an eye witness to the great fire of Rome in 64 AD.

Suetonius wasn’t. End of discussion.

Now let’s see the desperate gymnastics on display here.

Now let’s evaluate what Pliny the Younger wrote about the Christians, and their leader whom they follow.

Oooh la la la

My posts are for those who understand basic English and upwards. Not for unlettered folks.

Re: ************************ by OkCornel(m): 9:14am On Jul 10, 2022
Basic English smiley

Tacitus was an eyewitness to the great fire of Rome and who Nero blamed for the fire.

Born in 56 AD, fire happened in 64 AD

Basic English and Arithmetic.

Suetonius was nowhere to be found at this time. Lmao.

Oooh la la la
