Ibos do not know how to play politics and as things stand they may not get another attempt at the presidency for another 16 years. We all saw how the North collectively stood against fellow Northerners and said no it must go to the south and to Tinubu. Because when Tinubu formed an alliance with Buhari in 2014, he didn't say "no I must be president", he bid his time and even gave up the VP slot. Now we are seeing how it is the North that are championing the cause of Tinubu and by extension the SW over even people from the SW. Tinubu's greatest support right now is from the North. It will forever be remembered by many of us in the SW, that it was the North that rescued our leader when he was being betrayed by his own people. Thats how you play politics through relationships and not by demanding.

Obi made a grave error dumping PDP...Atiku cannot serve 2 terms if he wins. Instead of playing the long game, he damaged PDP and embarked on a journey to nowhere in LP and he will ultimately dash the hopes of his followers. In politics, you have to judge the mood of the electorate particularly the electorate with the largest numbers, which in Nigeria's case is the North!!! Like it or not, the truth about SE presidency is this, SE has to be apprentice 1st before becoming master, i.e the path to a SE presidency will never be direct and until the SE realise this, they will continue to postpone the date when the SE becomes president....it will never be a direct route.

The problem Obi faces is this, Having made the error of leaving PDP, where he was the defacto VP in waiting, he cannot now accept the VP of LP and dissapoint his teeming fans...what would have been the point of it all? A combination of Peter Obi's fanbase and Atiku would IMHO have defeated APC. But that is no longer possible and now no one be it NNpp, LP or PDP can come close to APC. IMHO Peter Obi has made his 1st blunder of his presidency...the decision to leave PDP and furthermore whatever decision he makes..either go it alone or be VP to Kwakanso would also be a strategic blunder. Ultimately when history of 2023 and the SE is written, it will be said that peter Obi snatched defeat from the jaws of victory!! To me it speaks to the calibre of his decision making!!!!
