Just saw the site .The people behind the Up Ghana forum are kind of very thoughtful cos nothing like that was existing in Ghana

They simply bought the software program from the black market.

I don't think Seun wrote the program that was used to create nairaland too, he must have bought it on black market too hence, he could not copyright it. These "Up.Ghana" people bought same and just modified it a little.

I noticed Nairaland does not like the site or Nairaland sees it as a competition because if you type the name of the ghana forum ( unless u type it like this: dot com) in your comment they will ban you.

So, I want you guys opinion on why Nairaland sees the site as a threat

Very true.... I discovered the same.
A member once ask why nairaland is afraid of it rivals. That's the same thing they are doing to Tokfora.com
