Presentation be like inter house sport tournament Nigerian league is the worst organized league in the world.
No Forigen coaches
No special derby the nation look up to on a yearly basis
No Ex egales players like Mikel, yakubu, martins want to play in it unlike Ghana.
How una take be giant of Africa?

I don't think so, organization in Nigeria league may be bad, but there are worse leagues in Africa that can even contend with ours even some Asia league is nonsense and Musa actually played for the league.

Lol! Nigeria is a joke on every level. Our league, just like everything else, is an embarrassment too.

beautiful pics BT we can do better

Until we have a conversation about our local stations not broadcasting NPFL games our local game cannot grow as before anyone even invests in anything they need to know the market is there.

If our matches are on TV at least the “local” man In Ava, ilorin and Kano will watch and develop ke interest.

Next thing is to understand why LAGOS doesn’t have a top NPFL team? That’s where state government needs to engage private parties or even go solo and put together a solid club… hire people like don jazzy and co. As club ambassadors

Imagine if a Davido regularly goes to the stadium to “see” the club matches it’d garner interest.

Another thing is the match timing/schedule. For now I believe games should be played Fridays (for less competitive games) and Sundays (for the top games) Remove Saturday from the calendar so we don’t compete for “attention”.

Last but not least …THE STANDARD OF STADIUMS/AESTHETICS. This is where government needs to really be involved.

look at Akpabio’s legacy stadium in Uyo. Top notch ! We need more of that … even if it’s not football only stadia.

E no easy sha

NPFL: Rivers United forward, Akuneto emerges top scorerPublished on July 17, 2022 By Mike Oyebola

Rivers United forward Chijoke Akuneto has emerged as the top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League this season.

Akuneto finished the campaign with 19 goals.

The striker scored the only goal as Rivers United defeated Gombe United 1-0 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt on the final day of the campaign.

It was double joy for Akuneto as Rivers United were also crowned champions for the first time in the history of the club.

Yusuf Abdulazeez of Gombe United and Victor Mbaoma of Enyimba finished as second joint top scorer with 16 goals.

Two players; Ishaq Rafiu and Valentine Odoh were joint third with 14 goals.
Ironically, coaches of Clubs assigned to assist José Paseiro in the Super Eagles had their teams relegated except Enyimba.

Abdallah of Katsina united,
Kano Pillars coach
Finidi George (Though club not relegated but won't be on the continent.)

These coaches don't deserve to be super eagles coaches because they failed to live up to expectation. The coaches from Rivers United, Plateau United and Demo stars should take up their places.

We should reward hard work and put people on various positions based on merit. Not on favoritism.

When Ahmed Musa took a short term contract with Kano pillars while he waited for a European club move he was heavily trolled and ridiculed by us Nigerians.

We are not growing because we(Nigerians) don’t want to grow.

Look at Alex song playing in DJIBOUTI.

Na money be league … North African players are never in a hurry to “run” to European leagues especially these obscure leagues cos their league sef pays very very well.

Saw this link some years back on a dude’s redesign plan doubt any NPFL club reached out to him.

How many people did you mobilise throughout the season to watch your home team live? Let us not talk yet about you traveling to watch their away matches.

The premier league that you love watching so dearly and if not for financial impediment, you'd love to travel to go and watch your favourite team live...Tell me, did British people "mobilise" you and millions of other Nigerians to watch them?

Oga, it seems PDP VS APC politics has eaten deep into you that you now think football is politics that requires mobilisation. When you improve the management of your league/ the standard of play, fans will automatically troop in to watch you.

Take the premier league as an example, it is run as a corporation where chief executive Richard Masters is responsible for its management, whilst the member clubs act as shareholders.

Over here in Nigeria, the reverse is the case. Government are the ones running the league. The sport minister is seen as the CEO.
