The Abuja Kaduna Zaria kano expressway is a 375km highway connecting the Federal capital territory (Abuja) to the Centre of commerce (kano).
This Highway attracts the highest amount of vehicular traffic in northern Nigeria.

Julius Berger is contracted to construct this entire length of road at a full cost of N779,000,000,000 (seven hundred and seventy nine billion naira).
meaning just 1km cost about 2.12 billion naira or 6 million dollars
this is over 800% higher than the recommended cost of constructing any road set by the world bank which is about N238 million.

This is the most expensive single road project ever constructed not just in Nigeria but in west Africa
it is being undertaken by the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration and partly funded under the Presidential Infrastructure Development Funds (PIDF)

The Documentary below covers why this road cost a lot to construct, The new methods of construction used, the politics behind it and weather it is justifiable

they keep dualizing and beautifying the northern roads, but students no wan serve for north, igbi business men exiting in their hundred, terrorist invading in their thousands,

it's not about the road, it's a welcome development shaa, but it's more wise to fix the Enugu - Onitsha express way if u want to be applauded

then tackle the insecurities in the north.

779billion.

Just as obj govt focused on telecommunications so also buhari s govt focused on transportation.

Let us hope that the next govt will focus on power generation and distribution.

You want power generation and distribution to work...let the discos and gencos set their prices...and let Nigerians pay their bills, instead of bypassing meters

When govt hands off & grants 100% privatization to power from generation to distribution to transmission then private enterprises will take the business serious both in provision of electricity and in payment of bills.

Which is what government has done for generation and distribution.Since 2013.(Transmission is in government hands, for national security purposes)

The problem is, government also sets the prices for the companies involved ...meaning that they cannot make enough of a profit to fix things. And prices are always kept below production cost...by 2018, according to Moghalu, it cost N53 to produce a kwh of power...which was being sold to end user at N20-30 per kwh.

That's a big part of why the power sector does not work. Government setting your price via NBET...means they cannot make a profit to fix things, attract investment, even take loans. (Resulting losses are covered by a 'subsidy' which does not adequately do the job..and still leaves the discos and gencos losing money. )

Then the transmission system needs fixing..and that is going to cost a lot. TCN is dependent on income from....DISCOS and GENCOS...which don't earn enough of a profit because....you know now.

As a Niger Delta man, I don't understand the concept of all these projects by the FG because they've been alien to me especially in the last seven years where my region has been abandoned by the government in all strata including housing, healthcare, education, power, railway etc. Congratulations to the North, na their turn now even though na we dey finance am one way or the other

Julius Berger is not a German company as most erroneously think it is.

The man Julius Berger was initially a go-lucky. Jewish merchant who benefited immensely as a supplier to another Jewish construction company that got most of the contracts awarded by the occupational US Govt in reconstructing Germany after WW2. The latter construction company was the number 1 construction company in Germany during the Jewish dominated Weimar Republic but were chased out when Hitler assumed power only to return to Germany to continue their corruption unchecked after WW2.

Julius Berger came into these shores sometime in the late 40's to early 50's hoping to setup a trading import and export venture but somehow, with the help of the real owners of Nigeria, the Rothschilds, was awarded the construction of the Niger Bridge.

Julius Berger will then go back to Germany and laissez with the Jewish construction company to provide him equipment and engineers to carry out the assignment. The contract award to Julius Berger is suspicious as he had no single experience in construction or even presence in construction to be awarded what was then a major landmark project. The contract was approved and awarded to Julius Berger by none other than Zik.

After the civil war , and with Nigeria's oil wealth now owned by Baron Victor Rothschild through his oil firm , Shell, Julius Berger was then pushed on successive govts and given premium contracts as another means to funnel as much oil money out of Nigeria.

Shagari put a stop to this and gave most contracts to other multinational firms .

But with the return of the idiotic khaki boys, Julius Berger was reinstated and promoted to the level of number 1 construction firm doubling as a major conduit of money laundering and embezzlement . IBB and Abacha used JB to steal as much as they could.

If you doubt what I am saying about Julius berger not being a German company, go to any of their yards and you will never find the German flag flying. The blue and white colors of the company ate representative of it's Jewish roots in honor of the flag of Israel.

I will upload a pic of the despicable Jew, Julius Berger and you will see his Jewish features complete with hooked nose.

Below refers to the man known as Julius Berger who founded the company Julius Berger.

If you are familiar with Jewish faces you will see him as an Ashkenazi Jew that he is.

Originally from Khazaria in today's present day contested eastern Ukraine, the Ashkenazi will later be driven off the land by Russia's Catherine the Great to be settled in the Pale of settlements in present day Poland where they were explocilty forbidden to set foot on any other part of the Russian empire.

They will later migrate to Germany and settle in Bavaria and begin to become a menace that they are until Hitler kicked then out in 1933.

Most migrated to the UK and US.

Famous ugly Ashkenazis you know of are CNN's Larry King, Playboy's Hugh Heifner, the current genocider heading Pfizer , Rothschild family and a host of too many criminals, degenerates too much to mention here.

Here is the Khazar Julius Berger below

Stop misinformation.

That road is designed to be 4 lane, which means you have to multiply 375Km by 4 = 1500km

there is no misinformation

Being a 4 lane road doesn't entirely justify the cost, Dangote is funding a 10 lane concrete road from apapa to oworonshoki at a cost of 73 billion and the length is just 35km... Assuming the road is about 375km. dangote can build it at a cost of N789billion (375km/35km x 73 billion)
so roughly what Dangote will use to build a 10 lane concrete road is what Julius Berger is using to build a 4 lane asphalt road

. plus it is still a 375km of road regardless of how many lanes it constitute nothing like 4lane x 475km in road construction

towards the end of the documentary I gave a point about why it cost that high..there is even an animation that explains it

. It because Julius berger is using a new method of construction where the old asphalt is reprocessed and reused
