Thousands of youths took over major streets of Yola, Adamawa State, yesterday, drumming support for the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Shops along the popular Atiku Abubakar road were shut down, as the traders come out to cheer the youth and women, who carried placards with inscriptions canvassing support of Obi’s presidential ambition.

Spokesman for the group known as Coalition of All Peter Obi’s Campaign Supporters, Jeremiah Peter, told journalists that the roadshow was to inform the people of Adamawa that only Obi has the key to save the children of the poor.

According to him, the choice of Obi is based on his competence, his credentials and age, which he said are the qualities that placed him above other contestants.

He urged Nigerians to vote candidates based on their qualities and not ethnicity, region or religion. Jeremiah pointed out that the roadshow was also to sensitise the people of Adamawa on the importance of registration for Permanent Voter Card (PVC) to enable them elect leaders of their choice.

He advised voters not to sell their votes, pointing out that their children and grandchildren would suffer the consequences of any selfish action.

If I tell you not to vote someone that has NO intellectual Capacity and not proactive and has no Posterity at heart as the next president and you feel I am referring to your candidate, then you are right. That means you know your candidate is not good enough for the nation but you still want to vote for him, That's on you, not me. But if I tell you to vote someone credible, with intellectual Capacity and proactive and has Posterity at heart and fit to rule and you feel I am referring to a particular candidate, that means you know who is right for the nation and if you do not vote that which your mind always goes to when someone says the best candidate for the nation, that means you also are your own enemy.
As for me and my household, we are OBI-dient.

Atiku and Tinubu are top 3 in Nigerias list of most corrupt individuals. Infact, both of them are dragging the number one spot! No sensible human being will want to associate with either of them irrespective of tribal affiliations. To borrow the words of PYO: "Elections are your opportunity to show God that you're serious about your prayers... You cannot wish this country well and vote for someone that you do not believe in".
