The hottest Temperature ever recorded in Nigeria was in March-April 1995 where temperature rose to 55 degrees Centigrade in the North-Eastern Part of the Country; specifically Borno State.
What kind of useless lie is this? 55C when deserts hardly get that hot.

In UK, 20°c is like Naija 30° and the worst part is that there is no Air to balance up.

Your body will be sticky, very humid. So you can imagine how 40 will be.

That's what makes it very dangerous. If the air was dry, the temperature can be easily controlled or brought low with just evaporation or trees.

Unlike less humid and or dry air, its difficult to control temperature for very humid warm air.

My problem with oyibo weather is it doesn’t stay long. That 40C likely stayed for 15 minutes. It’s still a record so nothing spoil.

The other effects of extreme heat, is in food production, it destroys the leaves, so there is less produce. The coming global famine will be worsened by the extreme heat.

If you have access to land and water, grow your foods. Hunger is coming Global famine very likely.

OK. Thanks. My data is outdated. The highest was 42°C. And that's one of the highest so far. However, it is still much hotter in the UK.

There's a difference between the actual temperature and how it feels. That's why weather reports give these two variables two different columns. The reason is humidity. When you sweat, there's evaporation which reduces the feeling of heat. When humidity is high, the rate of evaporation is reduced, resulting in more intense heat. This is called the "feels-like" temperature and it's measured in terms of relative humidity. Below is a table of how temperature feel like with respect to relative humidity. I've been in both regions, believe me, the exact same temperature is much hotter in the West.

States you mean. Some capitals where it gets so hot: Markurdi, Maiduguri, Minna, Yola, Kano, and more. Gwagwalada in Abuja gets so hot as well.
