Many of those people add to the social challenges of the places they end up in. They have no housing and would possibly occupy some forest reserves, build tents with sticks, pollute the place with bad hygiene and bad toilet habits. Some end up in mami markets in shanks. When their population increases and the environment start feeling the impacts of their habits, the state government would wake up and wade in but then it’ll be too late as they’ll claim to have lived there for more than 20 years.

Northern leaders should take responsibilities and provide education and basic amenities for their people. They should stop moving their problems down south for others to solve for them.
