Pls can someone give me the exact difference between civil engineering and architecture,which is more lucrative if you want to be self employed and which plays a greater role in construction in general THANKS

hi dear, sorry that u didn't get reply on time. the only people who can contribute to a topic are those who have knowledge in that field. i think i can help u a little. Architecture is all about BUILDING, its design and construction. though there are people who study building tech, but u can't do without the Architect cos they are the leader of the BUILDING TEAM in the building industry. On the other hand, Civil Engineering deals with mainly structural work, its focuses on the mathematical aspect though they do go to site as well, to make sure their specifications are adhered to. U can see these guys in road construction company, in a high rise building construction, etc. In terms of which is better? this depend on individual cos in 9ja today someone can study Engineering and work in the bank.
