Armed Robbers Raid Bank With Grenades In Osun by PointB: 3:17am On Aug 03, 2011
Excerpt:

“They sprayed bullets at first. After that died down, they threw their hand grenades at the bulletproof door of the bank which shattered under the force of the dynamites. After the door had been pulled down, they gained entry and began their operation.

“They appeared well trained; they cut the clips of the grenades with their mouths, threw them at the door and lay down on the floor. After a grenade goes off, they will throw another and lay on the floor to avoid being rocked by the blasts.

.
.
.

Riot policemen arrived the scene shortly after the robbers had fled through Ilesa-Oboko roundabout and this enraged some residents, who attacked the policemen.

One of the policemen was wounded and held hostage by the residents and it took a reinforcement of policemen for him to be rescued.

The situation took a dramatic turn when policemen engaged some of the residents, especially commercial motorcycle operators in a free-for-all.

What annoys me the most is the arrival of the policemen after the armed robbers have gone. They shouldn't have bothered coming in the first place!

Tongue in cheek:

Successive governments have been telling people not to go to the bank during the day, they wont listen. This is not the governments fault, It is the fault of the bankers and customers.

God bless the policemen that ran for their lives, they are not equipped to put this kind of robbery in check. Shots fired in the air injured unsuspecting market women many kilometres away.

It is only a question of time before GEJ invite the robbers for negotiation.

Yes, they do. But they chose the profession, and accepted the risks that go with being police officers. They're just cowards, plain and simple.

who want die? they love their wife and kids.
But that's bad for Nigeria.
No technology, no weapon, no camera, nothing!!
The worst is yet to come in term of crime and criminality,

See more details:
She said, “The first thing we heard was sporadic gunshots which shattered the glass and windows of the bank. We all lay on the floor. I was shivering and praying because I felt the end had come.

“They were all young boys, smartly dressed and speaking good English. They ordered everybody to lie on the floor. I obeyed even before they gave the order and I closed my eyes. I later opened my eyes.

“They were ordering the bank officials around and threatening to kill them if they behave funny. They carted money away in Ghana must go bags.”

These are learned armed robbers, some of who have studied chemistry or chemical engineering. And decided to use their knowledge in a negative way, maybe when there's no job

God will have mercy on us in this country

With the way our policemen roam the streets with machine guns and bulletproof vests, one would think they have the ability to face OSAMA, our policemen are only useful in terms of collecting money at road blocks and oppressing innocent civilians, angry angry
