Buni is right with his message that shows he can talk the talk. Yet he never walked the walk when he should have. He was the arrowhead of the effort to prevent a strong southerner, i.e Tinubu, emerging APC candidate because the conservative and Fulani-centric Federal government felt that a strong, independent-minded and brave Southerner must never be allowed to emerge and threaten the grip on policies and directive the North enjoys. Well, too late to implore Nigerians to be united. Whether we like it or not, this election is an ethnic war and Buni, Atiku plus Kwankwaso (Arewa) know they must defeat Obi (Biafra) and Tinubu (Oduduwa) to keep their partisan dominance of Nigeria intact. Whereas the Yorubas who now want regional governance, to free them from the encumbrance of 'one Nigeria', won't relent either and regardless of whether Tinubu wins or not. All that Nigerian can do is vote the candidate who means we'll for all Nigerians with a leadership record that confirms that fact. BAT. Jagaban. Asiwaju. |

I expect Buni and APC to actually practice what they preach , the president selected all his tribesmen and gave them all the Joyce position and now the incoming APC flag bearer is coming with Muslim Muslim ticket what is more of ethnic and religious politics more than these for Christ sake |

kingyakos: So you know he is referring to your people. Buni did not mention any party or personality. From the responses here it is certain your people know they are the ones affected by the statement he made. What has Osinbajo got to do with what Buni said? Nothing. In the late 80s when Soyinka won the Nobel Laurel. It was a celebration galore all over Africa. In Nigeria, the IBOS fought Soyinka up till early 90s because he won an award in Sweden. The award created enemity between Soyinka and some people till date despite the fact that the principal person died few years ago after releasing a Novel about Biafra that extremely blackmailed late Chief Obafemi Awolowo who was stoned at Aba during the First Republic (before Biafra war) campaign. The IBOS fought Abiola because they thought the Presidency belonged to them and not Yorubas. Abiola pleaded with them they refused. They later opted for VP and Speakership as it was under NPN (1979 - 1983) contrary to Secretary to FGN and Speakership under Abiola. Obasanjo suffered the same fate Tinubu is suffering late 1998 / early 1999 just because of PDP Primary. They created chaos, heated the polity under a military head of state. They rewrote Biafra history. They told us the history of Obasanjo. It was tough. Till date, Obasanjo is the only sitting President that went through Primary election for second term. Ekwueme and the IBOS believed the Presidency was his turn. The IBOS did not like Osinbajo, they wanted cheap and easy opposition. MKO Abiola never knew Nzeribe existed at Jos Convention. The problem is not Tinubu or Osinbajo, the issue is that the IBOS hate Yorubas with passion but the Yorubas don't know. The IBOS believed they must get something before Yorubas, that was the problem Soyinka had with them over Nobel Laurel. That was the problem Abiola, Obasanjo and Tinubu have with them. |

babaolofin: Please stop talking if u ain't got anything sensible, i expect u should understand the fact that there will always be people who will always fight against the truth, be it Hausa Igbo or Yoruba the fact is darkness will always fight against light and light will always triumph. In Nigeria we are too tribal and religious instead of settling for the best. The igbos hate Yoruba but forsake ekweme for Obasanjo, forsake ojukwu, nwachukwu for yar'adua. Stop talking rubbish and stop igniting hate in minds of people. The entire SS and SE would've voted osinbajo over Obi. The igbos always want the best for this country and we all have seen the reason why the igbos didn't support buhari and APC. |

RELIGION does not matter but some people want Hijab to be worn in all Secondary Schools RELIGION does not matter but you cannot sell alcohol in some states in NIGERIA RELIGION does not matter but "Jonathan" was declared religiously infidel in 2015 despite not contesting to become an IMAM RELIGION does not matter but almost every notable Northerner supported the killing of Deborah. If RELIGION does not matter she would have been alive today and you know what, her killers and their supporters are all going to vote someone in 2023 RELIGION does not matter in NIGERIA but we have a Constitution that recognises the CRIMINAL CODE in the South and PENAL CODE in the North RELIGION does not matter but HISBAH is a religious police backed by law and it's officers can arrest a normal police officer RELIGION does not matter but Leah Shuaibu was denied freedom because those that negotiated the release of the kidnapped Dapchi school girls were of different RELIGION RELIGION does not matter but a Northern Christian is bad for political business RELIGION does not matter but enact religious beliefs into our laws. If religious beliefs inspire the laws that govern us, then the influence of RELIGION shouldn't be down played RELIGION does not matter but a Christian woman was killed in Abuja because she was preaching close to a Mosque. Her killers are still walking around freely and will vote during the elections RELIGION does not matter but our government continues to sponsor pilgrimages to Mecca and Jerusalem every year RELIGION does not matter yet churches are set ablaze by those shouting "Allahu Akbar" RELIGION does not matter but NORTHERN NIGERIA will never support a Christian - Christian ticket for the presidency RELIGION does not matter but you cannot build churches in major places in Kano RELIGION does not matter but Sharia law exists in some states in the supposedly secular NIGERIA RELIGION does not matter but when we had a Christian PRESIDENT someone we all know said an attack on Boko Haram was an attack on the North RELIGION does not matter but you cannot even clap your hands and praise Jesus in Kirikasama Local Government Area in Jigawa State I Rest my case! |
