Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is trending on Twitter because of her recent action at the NBA conference. Chimamanda was not just present at the 2022 annual conference of Nigeria Bar Association alongside other attendees like Peter Obi, Shettima and co, she addressed an issue whilst giving her speech. She questioned why "The Nigerian NBA Football Men Team winners" were given 500k while their women counterparts got 200k. Instantly, N4m was raised for the women team. This is the same argument they are having in US football (they call it soccer). The female team question why their male counterparts earn more. The answer is simple. Male football and sports always attract more sponsors than women's. However, I have no idea who raised in the 4 million in question here. |
