In the whole of the Nigerian military, Nigerian Army and Airforce are the most useless. Nigerian Navy is doing a great job, we hardly hear of pirate attacks, if the Army and Airforce are working like the navy we won’t be hearing of herdsmen and bandits wiping out villages.

It's Ezugwu, named after the designer and brain behind Army local production of infantry vehicles Major General Victor Okwudili Ezugwu as a mark of honour

Nigerian army takes to many pictures. You don't compromise security forces like this; everything should be done secretly.
the way they display that their AK47 make them look like some hunters or african rebel in uniform. they don't always look professional neither tactical.

they need better training, improvement, civic orientation and modern tactical/special ops arms and ammunition to compliment these mobility they are being supplied.

What’s the difference between a gunship and a gunboat Op?
A gunship is a type of military aircraft that is armed with heavy guns intended to bombard an enemy's coastal cities or to act as close air support examples include the USA CH-130 close wing aircraft and Russia's Mil Mi 24 while a gunship is a type of watercraft armed with heavy guns as opposed to other types of watercraft intended to bombard an enemy's coastal cities

Someone that cannot defend his village from herdsmen and unknown gunmen is calling the Nigerian Army useless. The lesser the non-patriots the better for our society.

For the fact that you don't hear about it doesn't mean pirate are not active on our waters. If you know the amount of crude oil being stolen from Nigeria through our waters, then you will know our navy is very useless. Just last week a SUPER tanker ship stole crude oil from Nigeria only to be arrested by Equatorial Guinea navy. Ghanians, Togolese fisher men come into our maritime territory to fish daily without being caught. You better give credit to air force and army that you see their shortcomings daily which is expected. Most people think the police are terrible cos we have contact with them daily, how many times a year do you have contact with the navy? Am sure some villagers up north have never seen a navy before so how do you expect them to see their shortcomings but no matter where you are in Nigeria, you must see a policeman once a month.

Nice. But where did they get the steel?

Proforce (Defence) Limited, Nigeria’s leading total defence solution provider specialising in the manufacture of armoured vehicles, body armoured and other defence mobility products, said it has acquired a steel plant in the Sango area of Ogun State for the production of its steel just as arrangement had been concluded to start producing its own glass through a joint venture arrangement with a glass-producing factory.

The Managing Director of the company, Mr. Adetokunbo Ogundeyin, who made the disclosure Thursday at the Proforce assembly plant in Ode Remo, Ogun State, said the acquisition of the steel plant as well as the plan to start producing glass were aimed at achieving about 70 to 80 per cent local content required for the company’s production.

The Proforce boss spoke while conducting the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ibrahim Idris, who was visiting the plant, round the facility. He maintained that Proforce had since demonstrated its capability to produce world-class Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs) and other security and defence equipment despite the initial doubts from foreign manufacturers.

Ogundeyin said: “They told us we cannot do it because we are Nigerians, but the assistance from government made us to stand out and those that we used to chase now chase us....

I've inspected the images and if truth be told; the only things Naija is capable of manufacturing amongst all are :

1) design & construction of vehicles body frames.
2) the headlamps & back lights.
3) chairs design & upholstery & that's all.

NB: imported expired tyres [Tokunbo tyres] still has a vry gud mark in Nigeria- it is very expensive and & it's still claiming lives.

If Naija can manufacture such assorted Engines for military vehicles- how comes; ordinary keke napep engines etc are still being Imported?

Even Naija govt manufactured ak47 not as professional looking as that of china. Our own looks a bit rough, easily gets jammed & it's unreliable.

Buying Gun is more cheaper than buying Ships for pirate attack... The criminals go for the ones that they know is cheaper.
