MikeofAfrica:SE states are core PDP states with block votes. SW on the other hand are diverse states with both APC & PDP swinging the pendulum. Before then, it was ACN & PDP dividing SW states between themselves. The fact that APC could relegate PDP despite its supremacy since 1999 in SW, shows the sagacity of City boy. 3 Likes |

femisplash: SE is the only region where 4 different parties ( PDP, APC, APGA and PPA) have won Guber elections. Hence it is not a core PDP region. If Atiku had been APC Presidential candidate in 2015, he would have penetrate the region. In 1999, AD dominated the SW. OBJ made PDP to became relevant in SW from 2003 using Federal Power. Hence with APC now having the Federal power, Tinubu is suppose to bury the PDP in the SW like it was in 1999. His failure to do so shows he is very weak politically. The recent Osun election confirmed his weakness. He only stands a chance in 2023 because he is contesting on a strong platform. If you make Tinubu the candidate of Labour party today, he will not make any impact in the election. 1 Like |

MikeofAfrica:SE is 100% PDP for Presidential regardless of Gubernatorial candidates. Meanwhile, SW Presidential results is a different kettle of fish. PDP was the only major and dominant party across the country prior to the formation of APC, therefore, the talks of OBJ making PDP relevant in SW is gibberish & balderdash. Nigeria was a one party state until Tinubu broke the jinx. 1 Like |
