Some Nigerians have attacked the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, over his meeting with former president, Goodluck Jonathan.

The meeting came as a surprise to many people, especially after Tinubu had attacked Jonathan in the past and also contributed to his exit from the office.

Naija News earlier reported that the former Governor of Lagos State on Tuesday visited Jonathan alongside his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

Other APC members who accompanied Tinubu for the visit include Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, and Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong.

The visit to the former President might not be unconnected to the presidential ambition of the former Governor of Lagos State who is seeking to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari at the end of his tenure.

However, many Nigerians have made a mockery of Tinubu, with claims that he has no shame for meeting a man he ousted from office.

We warned this ultra-desperate thief when he was playing his “absolute” politics of f00lishness back then. We cautioned that the South West does not have the number to norture the sort of hate-driven political arrangement Tinubu and his lackeys were craving…didn’t we?
After burning all bridges down south they are now shamefully courting those they fought bitterly…why not go and defeat Atiku in the north like you’ve always boasted and make yourself president?

The first part of your reply is completely unnecessary. But it's fine. Tinubu is a politician, he can confess to anything that favours him as long as he gains political mileage from it. The 2011 election was a north vs South affair. The northern caucus of the PDP had met and presented a candidate to face Jonathan in the primaries.

Obasanjo supported Jonathan with the argument that minorities should also have their way in government. He preached the message well enough and some key northern figures accepted. Tinubu is not the GOD OF THE SOUTH WEST.

Many people in the south saw the bullying. Remember BUHARI's dogs and baboons threat that led to the untimely death of 11 Youth Corps members from the South serving in the North.

ATIKU, the unifier famously said during the primaries that if Jonathan makes peaceful change difficult, he will inadvertently be making violent Change inevitable. The change didn't happen but we saw the violence against young Nigerians from the south in the north.

After the north lost in the PDP, Obasanjo moved to pacify them, with the agreement that Jonathan will do a single term in office.

That being said, the mood affected the votes at the time. Talking about 2011

By 2015, Jonathan has squandered his goodwill and it was obvious. In addition, all the forces that aligned with him had abandoned him. In the South West, Obasanjo was more instrumental to Jonathan than Tinubu. Except you are of the view that Tinubu is a snitch that threw Mallam Nuhu Ribadu under the bus.

On a final note, did Tinubu also help Yar'Adua in 2007?

I expect you to put your fish brain aside and be reasonable for once.

As mighty as Tinubu is to you, PDP dey win House of Assembly and house of representatives seats for Lagos. So much for the god of the south west.
