hisexcellency34:
Chief Ebenezer Babatope, a former Minister of Transport on Monday said the 2023 presidential election will still be a two-party affair between the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking in an interview with DAILY INDEPENDENT, Babatope said the Labour Party and its presidential candidate, Peter Obi can only try their best during the election but cannot win because they lack the structure and national spread to secure victory.

He said “It is still going to be a two-party affair. It is still going to be between the APC and PDP. The Labour Party can only try but there is nothing they can do. Unlike the APC and PDP, Labour Party does not cover the whole of the country”.

“They cannot also claim to have the support of the Labour movement, so they can try but I don’t see them making any significant impact in the presidential election”.

When asked if he will support a fellow Yoruba man, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu who is the APC presidential candidate, Babatope said despite knowing Tinubu for more than 50 years, he cannot support him as both of them belong to different parties.

“We belong to different political parties, even though we are both Yorubas. I have known Tinubu for over 50 years but I cannot support him because we belong to different political parties. He belongs to the APC and

“I am of the PDP. There is no question of Yoruba race here. I am a member of the PDP and our candidate, Atiku Abubakar will win by the grace of God”.

There is this saying that "if a mad man thinks he can tear your clothes, show him you are also ready to tear his dirty rags."

Those people don't deserve any reasonable explanation. Just return it to them exactly the way they drop it.
grin grin grin grin grin you are still touting around with that old man. The first thing Peter Obi will do when elected is to break every yoke or charm those old men are using on you guys. As the country is like this na another old man una want after buhari.

Fulani people has killed and kidnapped more people in Yoruba land than anyone else but that's not your problem, infact you can even vote for them if you are not voting Tinubu.

You problem is the Igbos who has never killed a fly in your region.

The kind envy that will kill you people is still observing his jumat prayers.

Block heads.

Obojuju:
8 REASONABLE REASONS TO ELECT PETER OBI

1. Peter Obi is averse to waste
At the root of the poor infrastructural development all over Nigeria is criminal wastefulness, corruption and inflated contracts. Road or rail projects that can be done with N2 billion are inflated to N20 billion. The consequences of this is that projects go on forever and funds that would have been used to do 4 or 5 projects are spent on just 1 project. A very good example is the Lagos light rail project. It was conceptualized by Jakande in the early 80s but still remains uncompleted till date, even after 23 years of APC/Tinubu unbroken stranglehold of Lagos State.

2. The people's president

Of the 3 main candidates, only Peter Obi is banking on the power of the people to get elected. Tinubu and Atiku are relying/relied heavily on the support of the delegates (bought with dollars), governors, senators, house of representatives and other structures of their political party to get elected. The consequences of this is clear. If Peter Obi is elected, naturally he will take decisions that will benefit the overwhelming majority of Nigerians who voted him to power. Unlike the other candidates who if elected will spend reasonable public funds and time to reward the structures that got them elected.

3. A visionary president
In 2023, we need a president who, while catering for the current generation and solving the myriads of the current problems, also plans for the future, our children and the unborn generation. A president who realizes that Nigeria will still be existing in 100 and 200 years to come and sets aside some funds for the future and unborn generations. That is what Peter Obi represents, as he demonstrated in Anambra by saving some money for the future. We do not need people who believe we should consume everything today and let the future take care of itself.

4. He is young, vibrant and energetic

With the plethora of problems plaguing Nigeria currently, we need a president that is relatively young, energetic and vibrant. A president that has the physical and mental capacity to supervise the effective implementation of his programs and policies across all sectors simultaneously across the country. A president with hands on approach on all the issues. That is what Peter Obi represents.

5. A courageous president
We need a president who has the courage to take and implement critical decisions that can move Nigeria forward. Peter Obi demonstrated great courage when he opted to be impeached as Anambra governor rather than deploy public funds to pacify the greedy lawmakers. It takes courage and conviction to take such risky personal political decision because the impeachment court case could have gone either way.

6. His message is clear and concise

His campaign message in all the media interviews has centered around reducing waste and moving Nigeria from consumption to production. This is very clear message that tackles the root cause of many of the problems bedeviling Nigeria today.

7. A president that communicates to Nigerians
So far, of the 3 main candidates, only Peter Obi has granted to several live TV interviews. It shows he is a believer in the power of communication. He believes you and I have the right to know. Atiku only managed to grant a recorded interview while Tinubu has not granted any at all. This time around, we need a president that has the confidence to speak to Nigerians directly about his policies and challenges if any. Enough of deaf and dumb Presidents, hijacked by cabals in Aso Villa.

8. A listening president

As governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi was always visiting schools, hospitals, etc to hear and feel the challenges. At some point, he gave his phone number to the school prefects to get direct feedbacks. This demonstrates that Peter Obi will be a listening president. We don't need a president that will be hijacked by the Aso Rock cabal and only brought out once in 6 months to show proof of life.

In conclusion, 2023 presents another opportunity for you and I to choose a leader that will serve Nigeria and Nigerians in the next 4 to 8 years. For me, it is a very easy decision.

#ObiDatti 2023.
Everything in common with president Buhari but little difference that make obi worstier than Buhari because buhari wasnt impeached when he was military governor of katsina

Aside Northwest and Northeast, where else is Atiku sure of votes?

Asides Southwest, and maybe Borno and Yobe, where else is Tinubu sure of votes?

But Peter Obi is sure of votes from Southeast, Southsouth, North Central, considerable percentage of votes from Southwest, Taraba, Southern Kaduna, Southern Bauchi, Southern Gombe, Southern Borno, etc.

And you say he can only try?
with mushrooms of igbo populace scattered all over Nigeria, in all those states that you have mentioned Obi won't get 5000 votes and what will that do with his aspirations, when we are talking about millions of votes, honestly it's a bitter pill to swallow, the reality is not pleasant.

Stop dreaming. South East and South South cannot be in the bag for Obi. It will also be a splited vote because Apc and pdp have strong structures there as well.

I have tried so much to analyse the political terrain ahead of 2023 with an unbiased mind and I am yet to see how APC can win the election. Your questions are genuine and correct. Tinubu greatest threat and undoing is Atiku and Kwankwaso, he needs to go and kneel down and beg them in the name of Allah to shove in their ambitions otherwise there is no light in the end of tunnel for him. Only SW can't deliver the votes for him and Muslim/Muslim ticket has alienated him from most Christians from NC. So let me re-ask your question. Where will the bloc votes come from?

It offend me when I see people write rubbish. How can you think that obi will win SS AND SE then you will boldly say he will split Northern vote. This is the height of nonsense. You think Southerners will vote Obi then Northerners will vote Obi. You should be ashamed of what you have written there. I don't want to be discussing politics with bias mind and myopic OBI supporters in this faceless forum. After the election let us gather here again and come and exhort your Obi after then.
