Winning election takes a line of process don't downplay the role Tinubu in Buhari's emergence as president. There won't be Buhari to vote for if alliance has not taken place to form APC. Stop equating the role of your parent with that of your teacher.

So, in all of these, where lies the interest of the masses? Why must an individual’s greed-driven personal ambition take preeminence over the well-being of the masses?

Why must it be all about Tinubu becoming president and not about the advancement of our dear country?

I don't have long stories to tell, all I know is that Buhari has a conscience burden to deliver Tinubu.

Buhari with 12 million almajiri votes could not win the election until Tinubu came with his support base, political prowess, his media gurus, and abundance of wealth to make him president.

A lot of insult and hatred has been hurled at Tinubu ever since for his role in the emergence of Buhari who performed below expectation on many grounds and has shown to be nonchalant to Tinubu's cause, but there is a moral burden on Buhari to reciprocate the good gesture that made him becomes the president.

Failure to do this will place a permanent burden of regret and betrayal and further expose the nepotism and sectionalism people are accusing Buhari of, it will further confirm the opinion of some that Buhari is grossly incompetent and has not been able to successfully achieve a task, goal or any objective since he became the president.
Go and force him nah! Wailers!

There are so many topics that are addressing that even here on Nairaland, but this topic is tailored to wake Buhari and his advisers to tap him to the consciousness of moral burden of reciprocating good gesture. Politics should shape our kindness and increase our moral obligations and not turned us to a monster with no conscience

Seriously there is a deficit of morality in this part of the world. One good turn deserves another, will you as Buhari not help me when am in need and being a friend who has been there for you?

Am talking of morality and conscience here. Are we saying politicians should rule out conscience in their dealings?
You guys are very entitled. Buhari turned his back on tinubu seven years ago, even his wife was crying on TV how her husband was used and dumped. So which buhari are you calling on again?

It's true that one good turn deserves another. But in this case,PMB knows that BAT is too old & weak to perform so he doesn't want to stress him so much as a good friend.

Seriously if there is any war between SW and SE it must be the one being fought in your head. SE and SW are rolling together big-time and if you take online banter to enter you head, then you may be limiting the scope where your success might come from. Many of those that reason in your line of thought are those that are handicapped by non exposure to the real world.

No one is stopping SE from contesting, but the argument is SE has a better chance of getting presidency through PDP, don't blame the collective negligence of the leaders and politicians from the SE who allowed Atiku to steal your ticket on SW.

Just agree that SE are the weak region politically from the South that give the north audacity to be toying with the capacity of the South
SE became weak politically because of your clandestine conspiracies. Who knew Jonathan even as a deputy governor before the establishment made him?

We know as e dey go and that's why we have solidly queued behind Peter Obi.

If he scored just one vote on election day, then know that it's my vote.

If he falls, he will try again and again till he succeeds.

Buhari already gave his best support to Tinubu when he with the assistance of Adamu, helped Tinubu hold the flag when he won primaries. If that's not enough for you...

Re: Buhari Must Deliver Tinubu by Nobody: 8:09am On Sep 10, 2022
OP you have a point yet the only issue is that Buhari does not feel he has a moral obligation to do anything for Tinubu.

Supporters of Tinubu should not lose sleep over Buhari's involvement or lack of it. Many influential Northerners will work for Tinubu for the sake of their own permanent interest.

They will also support Tinubu because of the realisation a Northerner replacing another Northerner is taking Nigerian into uncharted water where anything can happen. They know how divided Nigeria is and how Northern leaders are perceived very negatively currently.

But for sadist Igbos, with their "Obi or power remains in the North" sadistic myopia, I don't know many non-Northerner remotely interested in another Northern President.

Many in the South and Middle belt feel a Northerner replacing Buhari is a continuation of insecurity, socio-economic partiality and open favouritism.

They feel a Southern President is the only chance Nigeria has to make amends for the actions and inactions of Buhari that has so changed and divided our nation completely.

There will therefore be microscopic and hostile scrutiny of every action of a Northern replacement for Buhari.

Serious political and ethnic disunity, upheaval and rancour may be the order of the day once even the smallest thing goes wrong under a Northern President all Southerners and even fair-minded Northerners believe should not be in Aso Rock to begin with.

Dangerous what the Northerners supporting Atiku are doing but we know what is driving their callous desperation. May God save Nigeria.

Tinubu became the choice since others could not cross the primary line. It would have been a different case if Tinubu had not won the APC ticket but now the moral burden should strike Buhari to remember those days he was sleeping at Bourdillon

There's no morality in politics only interests remember? Morality would mean that SW Who have had a shot in both obj and Osinbajo should support SE to clinch the mandate.

Nigerians want to be led well with emphasis on security of lives and property as sacrosanct. Most who are knowledgeable know why Nigerian lives and properties are not optimally secure today.

They know it is more a case of inaction than ineffective actions. If another Northerner replaces Buhari and continues with the same inaction, do you think Nigeria will stand for another eight years of that?

Unlike you, I am about nothing but permanent and comprehensive progress for Nigeria and Nigerians. Even Atiku I could swing behind if he comes in and makes his first action deliverance of State or regional policing.

That is how progressive the average Yoruba is unlike you sadistic and hateful people. If Atiku comes in to then carry on exactly as Buhari did then of course it would be right for stakeholders, i.e the Nigerian people, to agitate for change because 16 years of deliberate inaction, ruining lives, will be too much to contemplate. In 1999 when the political parties fielded Yorubas & went ahead to vote in OBJ,I guess the others were fools to have allowed u. While other Nigerians felt comfortable to vote OBJ who is detribalised & backed by the military, u guys with ur "over Sabi" mentality voted Falae who was mostly likely to be more ethnic minded. OBJ's presidency is SW presidency & the SE & SS contributed massively towards that.
In 2015, the SW truncated GEJ's administration (from SS) by aligning with northerners. 2023 is around the corner & here u r again, shouting Emilokan up & down like other tribes in the south don't deserve to have a go at the presidency.
Everyone has a right to contest no doubt, but patience, contentment & waiting for ur turn (the real Emilokan) is the key to southern unity without which it will be difficult to defeat the north in a presidential election.
I say it again unapologetically,it was the SW that upset that balance in the South due to their selfishness. The 3 major tribes need to form an alliance before the north can take it seriously.
What's ur reward for enthroning PMB, I guess u should go up north and find out how the r burning up the evil brooms.

U guys won't cease to amaze me. APC rode to power on the back of the change agenda, only to show how unprepared, ineffective & corrupt they r as a political party.
Tinubu said he will continue from where PMB stopped after backing his re-election, now what can be more hopeless than that.
Obi represents the future that Nigerians seek. It's unfortunate that some Yorubas, r blinded by sheer hatred & tribalism, but thank God the sane ones r supporting Peter Obi. This is not an Igbo vs Yoruba thing, it's a battle for the liberation of this country from the forces of oppression.
U r on BAT/APC's side & unfortunately u know that's the wrong team,at least Nigerians think so.
Obi has more acceptance among Nigerians than Tinubu right now. Obi has support in the SE,SS & about 60% of NC & among northern christains . There r still Muslim northerners supporting him. If he can make sufficient inroads in the core north, then he is good to go.
The same can't be said of BAT, because apart from about 65% of Yorubas,Borno,Yobe & some isolated places in the north, where else does he have on lockdown. I guess this is the reason u guys r whipping up tribal sentiments to shore up his numbers in the SW.
Nigerians have rejected APC & BAT already, maybe u r still waiting till next Feb before it sinks in.
