Senator Ifeanyi Ubah lost his personal treasurer, Ikechukwu Obum; and his Personal Assistant, Goodness Mathias, in a deadly gun attack on his convoy at Enugwu-Ukwu community in Njikoka Local Government Area (LGA) of Anambra State on Sunday evening.

POLITICS NIGERIA had reported how Ubah, the lawmaker representing Anambra South in the National Assembly, escaped death after being attacked by about nine gunmen around Nkwor Market.

Six police officers and a driver also died in the dastardly attack.

Speaking to the press on the attack, Kameh Ogbonna, the Media Assistant to Ubah, said the senator was able to escape death because of the bullet-proof vehicle he was in.

“If not for the Bullet-Prove Jeep, the Senator was riding in he would have been dead by now. This is an attempt on his life,” Ogbonna said.

“We were passing Enugwu Ukwu junction when they hit us from all sides, and as I speak with you Obum, the Special Aide to the senator, is dead.

“About seven security operatives were hit by the assassins’ bullets and they may have died.”

Damn!!! Unfortunately these men that lost their lives have not gone through arms way in their lifetime. This is no longer a case of UGM or ESN.
But then again whenever terror organization commit crime they stand by their ground to proclaim they are the perpetrators. Neither IPOB nor ESN comes forward for these actions.
This alone will send message to Gov Soludo, that those miscreants are being paid to ambush political figures in our state.
Now I just fold my arms and watch from the window of my building and say IGBO land will be great again.
