Being in the Military, I understand what happened to him, there's something called locking knee, when you stand motionless for a while, locking you knee, you'll loose your balance and fall, some people have been seen to loose consciousness too. The man really tried to gain his balance back.

Really? What a fuulish protocol, that fall alone; falling from a steep floor or stairs facedown is very dangerous, could lead to a traumatic brain injury or worse.
As a matter of fact, during national Parade or ceremony, if a soldier on guard, cuts corners without falling gallantry (face front) such a soldier risk being charged for Malingering. cheesy

Hmmmm i think most of the time this guards tend to suppress any uncomfortable feelings they have instead of opening up to their superiors in order to disprove any sign of weakness on their path, now which one is more disgraceful opting out as a result of feeling too unwell and being called a weakling or collapsing like a bag of garri in front of the whole world.

Collapsing is more honorable.
