In Christianity shunning a woman is equal to beating her. That's what Adam supposed to do since Eve has turned against both God and her husband, the laws given to both of them is what binds them together under the initiator of that union so for Eve to have eaten the forbidden fruit means she betrayed both Adam and God therefore Adam supposed to shun her as a punishment but instead he joined her in doing what he himself told her that God forbids!

Antidote is not a reward but remedy to cure the virus (sin) that will result to death. So since Adam deliberately joined Eve in rebelling against God both of them were driven out of the garden so they can never reach the antidote for death! Genesis 3:22-23
