Christistruth00: When a government has the "when them taya them go rest" mentality with its citizens...people feel the need to do what they feel will get to the government. The idea your pushing which is the right way to protest ofcourse works in a society that values its citizens. Every major right decision the Nigerian government makes, it does when it feels not doing it threatens it's stability. 1 Like |

Prokaryote:You're wrong!!! without good basic and secondary school education. University education is not everyone. Nigerian government has over-subsidized university education. What we need now to harvest potential in our large young population is compulsory, free and quality basic and secondary school education. Sound and quality vocational and technical education. Not everyone is needed in University and as such government has no business subsidizing university education 1 Like |

Saao:True but not a wise decision. The government will waste no time in tagging them anarchists and coming hard on them. In warri we have a parable for that situation. Pikin wey dey find cry, you come go konk am( knock on the head)! What will happen is an outburst of prolong cry. The government is looking for a way to clip the growing popularity of LP, don't give them an excuse to move against LP |

[quote author=N3TRAL post=116833826]It is from Chapter 4 of the CFRN 1999 that these mediocre students derive their right to freedom of association to protest. The same Chapter 4 of the CFRN 1999 guarantees Nigerian citizens the freedom of movement across the country. Flight tickets are expensive these days for a group of young people to block innocent Nigerians from going to their destinations. I implore the Nigeria Police Force to use reasonable force to disperse that show of shame at Lagos' airport road today. To maintain law and order, government institutions must perfectly balance conflicting fundamental rights in the society. No competent court anywhere on Earth has ever ruled that Freedom of association to protest is better than freedom of individuals and goods to move in their fatherland. Move your freaking protest to the gates of the National Assembly or the ASUU headquarters where you won't hinder hardworking people from moving. You're an ingrate and nonentity humanbeing. |

NANS should go and protest in front of Aso Rock gate and probably block the main entrance if they can and as well block the main entrance to the National Assembly all in Abuja. Cos those who are keeping them a home indefinitely are in those places. They should stop blocking the Airport road, cos it's not Air travelers that are resposible for them staying at home till this day. After all, some of them were among those who help bring this catastrophic government to power, And some of them are still BATified, so let them enjoy their indefinite stay at home Cos what they failed to have stood against yesterday is standing against them today.
