Yorubas are following in the foolish footsteps of the Igbos in destroying their land. Is Lagos the seat of power? Why not go and block Abuja airport?

How is lagos the FCT?

Happy you saw through sowore’s charade. Dude is so much after chasing national clout through public protest.

I think he should let the kids protest and not use their agitation as a political stool to get national prominence. He is a politician.. all of them young activists have not shown us love when they finally get to prominence: Adeyanju, Reno, sowore, melaye, Reuben, the guy who built toilet as a project etc
You forgot to mention FEMI adeshina and festus keyamo

Yoruba, e fura ooo!!!
Don't be deceived & slumber;

Is it only Lagos that has a federal university, Airports & Express ways? *Are there none in PH, Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Kano, Kaduna or are there no universities there. *Or is the FG who ASUU is fighting not based in Abuja? Wouldn't it have been more direct, effective and embarrassing to the FG to shut down Abuja Airport?

This same thing happened with Endsars protests, was it only in Lagos that people experience police brutality? Isn't the IG in Abuja?

The way we are happy at people destroying the SW is not good & we fold our hands watching with glee at the destruction of our legacies that are being envied by the "enemies". Aren't we assisting our enemies to destroy us. *Over 300 public buses were burnt in Lagos, those buses didn't belong to Tinubu nor his family, they belong to all of us but we were seem to be happy when they were burnt down.

I want NANS to demonstrate against the prolonged ASUU strike, I want an end to Police brutality but if it is going to be sectional as it's been, then it is not right & not acceptable.

It seems as if every error in Nigeria is either committed by Tinubu or LASG whereas outside the SW, some of the other parts are simply war zones. No one protest against them. No one talks about them. The focus is on Lagos and Tinubu. It seems our success is also our problem as you must've observed, the commentators at these sad events are mostly & most time not from this land but elsewhere & done with lots of joy as it shows in their commentaries, what does that show us?

Two Sundays ago, a senator's convoy was attacked, by Tuesday, no one was talking about it. Were it to be Lagos, Punch would have written an editorial, Obi would have spoken, Afenifere would have said it was Tinubu that initiated the attack to kill him. The social media would've being screaming of Mc Oluomo, Tinubu's creation, right? Instead, mum is the word.

This hypocrisy is disturbing.

Let us not rejoice when our enemies are surreptitiously destroying us as we are then complicit or in acquiescence.
This is damn too sad, Be warned plsss.

They can't block the roads forever, 200million Nigerians have a right to move and use that road too. They should focus on ASUU and ask what ASUU does with money universities generate. The society must move on, you can't block other Nigerians from moving freely. You students need to know the law more than other lay people. Your right stops where the right of others starts.

It is illegal to block Roads when Protesting

You can Protest but don’t use it to block other People’s freedom

This could easily lead to Violence

This was the type of Protest that some People hijacked to Launch a very

Cowardly Terrorist Attack on Lagos in 2020

Govt should reduce Senators Benefits and give ASUU what they asked for
Seconded and this guy Sowore deserves youths’ massive support. This guy has been present in almost every anti-bad governance protest. He has been representing our interests well but one 61-year-old grandpa is now the one claiming to be youth and a youths’ advocate just all of a sudden and some nonentities now believe he’s the best thing to ever happen to them out of ethnic sentiments.

It is from Chapter 4 of the CFRN 1999 that these mediocre students derive their right to freedom of association to protest.

The same Chapter 4 of the CFRN 1999 guarantees Nigerian citizens the freedom of movement across the country.

Flight tickets are expensive these days for a group of young people to block innocent Nigerians from going to their destinations.

I implore the Nigeria Police Force to use reasonable force to disperse that show of shame at Lagos' airport road today. To maintain law and order, government institutions must perfectly balance conflicting fundamental rights in the society.

No competent court anywhere on Earth has ever ruled that Freedom of association to protest is better than freedom of individuals and goods to move in their fatherland.

Move your freaking protest to the gates of the National Assembly or the ASUU headquarters where you won't hinder hardworking people from moving.

Sowore should be arrested and prosecuted for sedition and treason.
You sound frustrated.
You called Nigerian students mediocres?
Oh. I was almost surprised

My problem is that the protest and blocking the airport road will also affect innocent citizens that want to use the flight for their legitimate personal business, missing their flight would affect their businesses one way or the other and can even cause loss of business for them.

The whole thing was supposed to be be channel to an area that would only affect government, like stopping national assembly sitting or blocking Aso rock gate.

Government need to feel the effects more so that they can ensure that this strife is over.

Imagine student sitting at home for six months without school, some might even start contemplating on abandoning the school.
You're reasonable. I align with you on this

Sowore was just craving for attention and the police officer fell for that. Those students have their leaders and Sowore is not one.

You're wrong!!! without good basic and secondary school education.
University education is not everyone. Nigerian government has over-subsidized university education. What we need now to harvest potential in our large young population is compulsory, free and quality basic and secondary school education. Sound and quality vocational and technical education.
Not everyone is needed in University and as such government has no business subsidizing university education
I concur with with you, do we have that quality and affordable secondary education in Nigeria?
