ASUU, please believe the Reps at your own peril. I remember when the Federal government promised NPOWER batches A and B to vote them in for a second tenure and they (the government) would permanent them with appointments. When the government (under the corrupt minister of Humanitarian and Disaster Management Affairs, Mrs. Sadiya Umar) decided not to honour the agreement, the Npowerites ran to the Reps for help just like ASUU is running today. The Reps made several promises to help, till today, nothing happened. All the issues Npower beneficiaries tendered including owing of over 5 months stipends of some beneficiaries, witholding of batch B devices, and issuance of loans as the government promised are still left unattended like that till date.

If ASUU wants to resume, they should do so without involving the Reps. The present Reps and Senate are pro Buhari, they cant take decisions on their own. They will surely make promises that wont be honoured in the end.

ASUU is the problem. Wait for them to go on strike again next year with new sets of demands.

All the demands the past admin met prior to Buhari, we saw no changes from the way they were before and after the government met their demands.

They should think of following Wike's and RSUST pattern.
