That's what people don't understand until now, it's beyond removing Ayu as chairman, it's deeper than that and Atiku perfectly knows this, that's why his foot dragging!! Wike's camp don't have intention of supporting Atiku whatsoever, Ayu resignation is just a decoy for 2027 election

They will still work against the party even if Ayu resigns, with PDP chairman from their camp, they can dictate who gets PDP presidential ticket in 2027.. and Atiku knows this

Atiku saw the whole of southern Nigeria as irrelevant in the country's political calculus.
From 1982 till today, Atiku has chased apex political leadership of Nigeria solely for power for his north.

No southern Nigerian including Wike, with sound thinking faculties, can support a Fulani Muslim to succeed another Fulani Muslim as president of contemporay Nigeria.

The Nation newspaper appear now to be into blogging...

This is looking embarrassing to be spreading mindless propaganda in a twisted belief that it would make Tinubu win...

Wike will not leave PDP...it is very obvious...

Atiku should call Wike's bluff. No sensible person can pick a person like Wike as a vice presidential candidate.

But by burning all the political bridges with the majority rank and file of PDP leadership, how will he become presidential candidate and a potential winner in the 2027 elections he is purportedly targeting. Isn't he better off making conciliatory deals now and then working for the party's interest for future traction.

This zero sum, knife edge game he plays is not wise.

he is not wise at all,he always miscalculate his move. When he tried to use adamawa state governor against atiku before the party primaries I told them wike is repeating the same mistake he made in 2019.

On the contrary. Wike has a lot to lose in future.
His future aspirations will need the kind of support he is thrashing now.
He has burnt so many internal bridges and appears so cross politically unstable that I cannot see anyone seriously investing in his political future.
His best bet is to negotiate out a power base and then work for the party as lead to regain internal traction.
PDP win or lose with him outside looking in, it is curtains for him politically.

Good. This is the way to go. They should do the right thing by fully supporting Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the only brilliant and experienced candidate with verifiable record of public service achievements and pro-democracy credentials.

Tinubu will change Nigeria exactly the way he turned Lagos to the fifth largest economy in Africa. He’s the only candidate with a nationalistic appeal and the vision of enduring shared prosperity for all Nigerians. He’s the sensible candidate for all sensible Nigerians.

We have gone past this lie abegi. Lagos is not the fifth anything in Africa

It's too early to end the meeting!

Wike will be irrelevant to the PDP in the near future. He may be given the ticket and they will all work against him to make sure he didn't win or he will never win the ticket.

They will make him dearly pay for this attitude.

How him becomes your man?
What Emperor Wike and his boys aka Bode George are asking Atiku is basically a fresh convention because even if Ayu resigns, the Deputy National Chairman (north central) will become chair according to the constitution
