I can't just understand how the christian body (CAN or any other groupe in christendom ) become a political party or an opposition party sponsored and control by the enemy of this country. If CAN are not certisfy of the APC's presidencial candidate choice of his runing mate they should form a political party and filled their choice of faith that will restle power from them to show them that they have the numbers that can deal with any political party that may go against them. Until they come up with this idea they sould remain silent.



So CAN should keep quiet and watch Tinubu tell the whole world that no competent Northern Christian, the error BAT made in his rhetoric was lying that it was about competence, basically insulting the Intelligence of the Northern Christians, you don't expect the association covering those Christians to keep quiet.

Tinubu knew he was not muslim enough to the Northern standard, so he had to choose a Northern Muslim simply to win their votes not any stupid competency lie

Why are you guys ridiculing the church of Christ because of your belly? What is the correlation between all these and the place of christains on a political party position? Do scripture tells you to be subjugated or be a second citizen in your own country? To even add salt into the injury the same Tinubu said, he chose Shettima based on competence. Is he telling us in plain language that no single competent christain in the whole northern states. But funnily there is a Competent christain to fit enough to be made DG but none to be vice president to him in the same north.
Is it not written in your Bible in 1 Timothy 5:18
"For the Scripture saith, “Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn,” and, “The laborer is worthy of his reward.”
If the think it is the right thing to muzzle the christains if their rightful place because of politics, you're not a good christain but a nominal one. As a labourer is worthy to be compensated and not muzzled.
Meanwhile, if you don't live in the north, you won't know the pain the northern christains past through. Pst. David Bakare that gave this reply has lived many years in the north and he is in a better position to explain and reply to any abnormally ditch out to the public. Those of us that also schooled in the north are in better position to talk and explain how average muslim in the north view southern christains among them, to the extent that they see their co-tribemen that are christains as nothing and inconsequential. As worst as it is, they see their southern muslims as infidel and they won't allow them to lead prayers for them.
Christains that have not go out of their enclave won't know what is burning but can decide to be writing out of point to justify his party position to satisfy their bellies.
Campaign for your candidate and don't try to muzzle the christains to submission by quoting irrelevant portion of the scripture.

You could have saved your association from this controversy if the association didn't take a definite stand on a political issue. You have membership from all political persuasion and not all members will agree with the stand you took.

Tinubu permutations has opened his eyes that without Christian votes and Atiku wins the North, it is good as bye bye to Tinubu Presidential ambition .
Tinubu was thinking, he was MKO Abiola who rode on Muslim Muslim ticket in 1993, but even down in the North today , the Northerners are not energized or amused by Tinubu/Shettimma Muslim Muslim ticket, which makes Tinubu ambition to be in jeopardy .
Tinubu also thought he was going to inherit Buhari block votes in the North, but reality on ground in the North, shows Buhari support groups being financed since 2015 by Buhari's Nephew Mamman Daura who is head of the Aso Rock Cabal are rather collapsing their structures into the Atiku support groups in the North.
Tinubu will have to go search and beg for votes in the Predominantly Christian and Pro PDP and anti APC regions of the south South and South East in order to add up to his votes from the South West, which is why he is lobbying Wike led faction for support and votes in the south South and South East.
Unfortunately for Tinubu , the five other south South Governors are in Atiku's camp , they all worked against Wike at the PDP Presidential Primary (Okowa of Delta State, Obaseki of Edo state, Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Diri of Bayelsa state and Ex Governor Liyel Imoke who controls Cross River PDP)
I like the delusion of the pdp,atiku camp.News flash;Peter obi has the south south and south east in the bag.2/3 Sw states and taraba,benue,fct,plateau already in the bag.As at today PO has roughly 18 states and the fct in the bag.Apc ,tinubu will get some in the sw.Some in the Nc,not sure about his chances in the NE and NW. Atiku would get votes in the NW and NE some in the NC.Little chance down south.Maybe SW but i doubt.In conclusion as things stands Peter Obi wins it.

Lol. Shebi na meeting Tinubu dey call. After inviting the Pastor's and Bishops, we the cathecist association of northern Nigeria will not listen to them. Tinubu must call us to meeting of our own, give us our own share of the bullion van treasury. After us maybe the Lay Readers Association of Southern Nigeria will call for their own meeting and so on. In essence, no amount of meeting called by Tinubu to the Christian leaders will yield positive fruit. He should keep on sharing money for all we care. We know who get our votes. grin grin
