You have to do the NIMC correction first, once it's resolve you'll get an affidavit to back up the discrepancy noticed on the BVN against the correct name on NIMC before heading to the bank.

Last time I check, name correction at NIMC is pegged at 15k while the BVN cost you next to nothing.


P.S: I hope it's not total name change sha.
