INDEPENDENCE DAY: ABATCO CELEBRATES NIGERIA AT 62

One of the political campaign organisation for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Crusade Organisation (ABATCO), has called on Nigerians to continue to maintain peace, hope, unity and faith in building the nation as the country celebrates its 62nd Independence Anniversary.
The group in a statement signed by its National Convener/ Director General in Lagos, Comrade Ayeni Oluwaseun Samuel to commemorate the 5th Year Anniversary of its formation and to celebrate the 62nd independence anniversary of Nigeria, noted that even though Nigeria is facing lots of challenges in recent times caused by recession and the aftermath of COVID, the people will overcome the tough times and come out strong.

ABATCO urged Nigerians to ensure more vibrant, constructive and patriotic citizen participation in the governance of their country and to re-dedicate themselves to the idea of defining their personal interests in line with how it helps the realisation of national objectives and nation building as enshrined in the country’s constitution.

Ayeni stated that, “Nigerians should as a matter of urgency endeavour to build a united, peaceful, economically strong, internationally respected country with robust military, well motivated workforce, ambitious youths and fulfilled citizens as obtainable in other developing country”.

The group said further that, “our citizens should stop abandoning politics and political choices to politicians and manipulative elements who invoke only religious, ethnic and geopolitical sentiments to impose leadership on those who are only supported for the purpose of serving the interests of those who put them in office.
“Nigerians should vow that the leader who will lead the country when it is celebrating its 63rd anniversary must be one who would have set this country on the path of genuine socio-economic development and political greatness as what has been demonstrated by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State.

“These ideals are what we should rally our people around. The people should not allow government officials and politicians to continue manipulating them in pursuit of narrow interests. It is only manipulation that will allow voters to ignore the competence, experience, suitability and temperament of aspirants for public office and rather focus on where he comes from, the faith he belongs and how much he is ready to part with on or before election.
“Our people should stop being complacent and not to allowed any section of the country to use religion to divide us. The best amongst us as demonstrated by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Lagos State should be the one leading the rest. Voters should be ready at all times to intervene and savage the soul of the country by restoring it on the path and dream of our founding fathers”.

While calling for a strategic and issued based campaign/programmes from all the political party during the preparation for 2023 electioneering year, ABATCO prays that the country will continue to exist in peace, with unity among the various groups and continuous development of the various parts and by this time in 2023, “we will have cause to celebrate a better Nation we all dream of”.
