Please I need your advice no insult , my first time of renting a shop since getting job is difficult, but I'm a type that love to mind my business except my customers I love to relate with more , and already heard so much about the town that making friends is kind of risky here so I follow the rules , but I do greet everyone, my other neighbours doesn't disturb me , but others that are is friends in next complex will just enter my shop be looking around as if they are looking for something, they will be pricing like they are whining me like price that is not possible, or asking silly questions that can get someone angry , and I don't want to insult them , some of the just behave irrational that I don't even understand, may be cos I'm new there or they are trying to make friends my all means I dont understand, please I want you to enlighten me , its my first time . Don't allow customers to enter your shop anyhow ( this depends on what you sell).

Precisely put price tags on what you sell to save unnecessary conversations

Price tags will make your shop ook unique

Not even customers , just people within the neighbourhood, I don't know if they are trying to make friends by all means or have a mission,
And the person they sent out from the shop said claims he has gotten another shop cos market is not moving there , but keeps coming there to play everyday with others, one even accused me if I'm looking for someone I said this is my shop , after I greeted him and he didn't answer he said this is where they normal come to play ,He is part of them disturbing,He will ask for shoe when I tell him the price , he will say he does his shoe himself,then why asking ,Ask for another thing when I tell him price, he will say his brother is doing it , then why asking me when you know your brother is into it, another one will come ask them same thing , they are all friends , just trying to ask you questions that will upset you at times .

Be strict and let your opinions be known

Don't let anyone that's not prospective customers into your shop. It's not even spiritual financially...lol

Noone cares if you go broke after they hurt you

What you're experience is completely normal. If you must run a successful business you must be tolerant, patient and slow to anger.

If people perceive you to be hot tempered you'd be shocked at how far the rumors of your attitude would travel and even people who don't know where your shop is located would claim they've experienced your harsh temper. This my dear friend is bad for business.

My advice... continue to tolerate them, you must know they it's not everyone who walks into your shop that would buy, some might leave because your price is higher than their budget, some just came to have an idea of the price...(I myself I'm guilty of such), sometimes I might just walk into a shop to have an idea of a particular item I might not actually want to buy it at the moment, but if the price is fair I can come back whenever I'm ready to buy it or direct someone who needs it to the shop.

So calm down and continue to focus on your business...
