I don't think so, I think they did it with the opinion that this is an electioneering period and politicians usually spend a lot during elections, usually they do mop up after elections but let's wait and see the results. with or without the mop-up, the naira will still hit 1000 to 1 dollar very soon

One of the worst MPC decisions indeed!

Wickedtruths:
Emefiele was a mere deposit mobilizer at Zenith Bank before they made the dunce a CBN Governor.
He started by the ban on crypto trade to abokifx to other stupid means.
All Emefiele's actions which were challenged in court have been upturned. All of them.

The best way to punish Emefiele is to ensure that his salaries, allowances and same for all CBN staff are paid in Enaira. That way, he will think well before promoting rubbish.
grin Talking rubbish. Emiefele is a first class graduate of economics.
Many world governments equally placed a ban on crypto not only Nigeria
Then E-currency is the future. Better get use to it!
It seems ur comment is just to pull down d man’s name. I better move on to read other more educative comments

You are irredeemably daft and plagued with incurable insanity. May God handle the life of your children the way Emefiele handled Nigeria's economy.
Go use Enaira to buy your psychiatric drugs, you demented dunce.

grin Ur problem is chronic illiteracy. E-currency is global government’s logical answer to crypto. It will soon be mainstream. If u like be cursing yourself and don’t position urself to take advantage of it.

Nigerians are consumerist. Slowing down demand will help with addressing inflation a bit but greater emphasis must be placed on the supply side issues we are facing. Nigeria is not producing but it is consuming, thus leaving us dependent on imports and forex cover.

For the first time am seeing a real intelligentia making a lot of sense over this useless government, but wait; where was he when all started going wrong?. What central bank of Kenya has done and implemented recently was what I was expecting this Zoological government and that indomitable fool Emefiele to do at least in the beginning of this month, but what did they do? They made the whole situation worst from their new useless policy even before September ended. A lot of business men need to start attacking this inhumane treatment from this damnable Fulani government. All the entire Fulani needs to be chased out from this country and if it's not done at least from every power they are holding now, things will keep getting worst.
Also, one thing that's critical to know is that CBN has no right to be interfering to the FX services being offered by the commercial banks but as far as Nigeria is concerned everything goes. No wonder it was regarded as a ZOO and dungeon where survival of the fittest gets to live.
As Buhari has successfully killed and murdered Nigeria, Tinubu is on his way to finish what he started by burying it.
