Na that Sydney McLaughlin girl go win am. She's been terrific in the last 2 years, outclassed her competitors convincingly. She broke her own world record title twice.
Tobi just came up this year, she's hot no doubt but still needs to prove herself. Just like that sherika Jackson girl.

If going by 2022 record & performance, Amusan merits it more than Sydney or any other person on the list. When they get to 2023, we can talk about her proving herself, but right now, she had the best year and she deserves it.

Any award that requires people to vote is BS.

If by your criteria they earned it, leave it at that. Don’t make the public now come in and determine the end result after you used some yardsticks to initial draw up a list
My sentiments.

For me although Sydney McLaughlin World Records is considered almost superhuman, I still feel Tobi deserves this award she not only took and enormous 0.08 sec off the old WR, but she has competed in more events and won more titles than Sydney this season.

I fear that despite the fact that Sydney would also be a very deserving winner , there is far more American internet users than there are Nigerians so by leaving it up to internet voters to decide (instead of expert analysts) is guaranteed to favour the American.

Thanks a lot Sukkot for the mention.

These awards must go to our gurl Oluwatobiloba Amusan. She is the gurl who "spoke into existense"
via her twitter handle that she would "rule the world in her area of specialty" on the day she first
arrived Texas from Nigeria on scholarship.

Inspiring... Powerful stuff!

Sukkot... Enjoy your day!
