STRIKE HAS BEEN SUSPENDED
All this na noise and formalities

The useless government has agreed to pay the 8 months salary arrears and other terms. Their loss.

ASUU 5 : 1 FG
If the FG had agreed to the terms being demanded by ASUU, why are they still begging FG to incorporate their UTAS payment platform? Why is FG still asking court to order them to resume?
The major thing FG agreed to as at this moment is the payment of their salaries while on 8 months strike which wasn't even the part of the causes of the strike.
I will say FG 5 : 1 ASUU. Because these court orders na back to square one for ASUU

In all the stated points, no where did I see these fundings on infrastructure in the Universities, Research fundings, improved learning environment, rather salaries, salaries, salaries. FG deregister ASUU.

Students will be the loser because the strike has achieved nothing.

Main reason dey went on strike is issue of IPPIS and UTAS. Govt hasn't listened to them but used hunger as a weapon to deal with them. Govt deliberately held their salaries and paid them in bulk so the bulk money will sweeten their soul to compromise and that had worked.

If not that student unions have been compromised, I expect students to protest OR demand compensations.

Many paid hostel fees but that expired without they using it.

Many bought foodstuffs which they left back thinking it was a short strike only for the good stuffs to expire.

Many parents took loans to buy the necessary things their kids need for school but all is a waste and they still have the loans to be paid back.

ASUU wants to call off strike when many parents have focused their attention to paying house rents, yelutide season celebration and now ASUU is talking about calling off and unresolved strike.

No student should resume school till next year. 2022 should be considered gone

Pls what are you saying I seems not understanding your point?

So because universities are under funded the students should remain at home forever or what is your point exactly?

So it's ASUU that will bring the industrialisation you mentionedhuh

Pls explain your point in utmost clarity.
So going on strike every year dey sweet u.. I'd probably advise they resolve d issue and d school doesnt ever get closed again..

They should announce their decision.
At this point, it is either;

1. ASUU obeys the courts and resumes.

Or

2. ASUU disobeys the courts, it's leaders are arrested and ASUU as a union is destroyed.

Either way, the schools will resume. Peacefully or Violently.

I expect better from our lecturers, at this point it's obvious they must obey the law.
