Law is not the same as legal.

Legal is the rules made by humans.

Therefore, is atheism prohibited under Law? Not really.

But is it prohibited by your Nigerian men? May be in the north but in the south, I don't think so. But since men are your gods, then one of them can just wake up one day and do whatever they like. One can say prohibit and another can say unprohibit and back and forth.

Hence unstable court judgements and injustice because your life depends on what man wants and not according to Law!

But una like am like dat, so make una no dey complain say just is no dey dis kaintree and dat the judiciary is kwarupt

Na una kwarapt am.

Being an atheist is not a crime in Nigeria.
The Nigerian constitution allows anyone the freedom of thought, speech, conscience and religion.
So you could choose to believe or practice a religion or not.
Some states though, especially in the north (sharia states), have laws against blasphemy. Even Lagos criminalizes blasphemy.

As someone said earlier though, people do take laws into their hands (which is also a crime) and do terrible things against others in the name of religion but go scot-free.

Nigeria is a secular state.
The countries you mentioned are islamic state, and they frown upon other religion and atheism.

Whoever makes such rule is EVIL and not of the lord.

According to Jesus all should be left to grow together, when it's judgment time evildoers will be dealt with by God Himself! smiley
