Dude had accident by supposedly drunk driver there & died. Stupid severely racist Northern Cyprus govt arrested driver secretly released after Three 3days & no matter how Nigerian ambassador to Cyprus & even federal government of Nigeria tried to intervene, they refused to reveal name of citizen who jam him to the Nigerian government or Nigerian embassy in Cyprus or victims family sef so they could at least seek justice / legal redress n compensation from the driver who killed Gabriel Soriwei. Watched the sad news on TV then. Omo can They dare try such rubbish with USA president if it were USA citizen who got hit in Northern Cyprus? Not like it's even unknown hit & run case oh. The beautiful Island of Cyprus was invaded by Turkish troops in 1974 following a military coup in Greece which Turkey suspect is aimed at uniting the whole of Cyprus with Greece.

They ( Turkeye) countered it by pushing their troops to take over the northern part of Cyprus to stop the suspected attempt by the government in Athens, Greece.

Since the invasion or annexation by Turkish government they have stubbornly held on to the island which they named Turkish Republic of North Cyprus.

Turkey has constantly disobeyed or defied United Nations and EU resolutions calling for a United Cyprus.

The Cyprus question which talks about the framework for unification of North Cyprus with South Cyprus as demanded by the United Nations has remained largely unanswered for many years.

This is because Turkeye which is the new name of Turkey is vehemently against North Cyprus unifying with the South Cyprus which is own by Greek speaking people and also supported by Greece.

Turkey feels unification will favour the Greek to the detriment of the Turkish. That is why they are against it.

The Turkish government in Ankara has over 30,000 military troops stationed in North Cyprus which is meant to strengthen their grip on the north which Turkey control.

I think Turkey should allow North Cyprus which is Turkish control and inhabited by ethnic Turkish people unify with the rich south Cyprus which is Greek control to form a United country.

As it is now no country except Turkey recognized the TRNC that is the Turkish Republic of North Cyprus.

When the country is United under United Nations auspices or administration the big power will recognized North Cyprus.

Alternatively, North Cyprus can seek for their own country free from control from Turkey their brother nation.

But the best way for North Cyprus is unification with their Greek brother and sister not minding the fact that they are Turkish.

When Cyprus become one then the world power like EU members state, Britain, USA, France, Germany etc will invest in North Cyprus and develop the economy of not only South Cyprus.

I think the whole of Cyprus will be a great country if the Turkish government push for a unified Cyprus.

The division is what is complicating the problems in North Cyprus.

Crimes have found it's way to the TRNC because of the Cyprus Question ❓

Cyprus Island is sunny, with Beach and it is supposed to be a touristic haven.

North Cyprus use to become an educational haven for students largely Africa that are seeking for qualitative and cheap tuition fee universities.

However, as more nationality trooped into North Cyprus the crime rate increased.

The federal government warning to Students from Nigeria that plan to go to North Cyprus is a welcome development.

TRAVEL ADVISORY FOR NIGERIANS SEEKING ADMISSION OR JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN THE TURKISH REPUBLIC OF NORTHERN CYPRUS (TRNC)

The attention of the Federal Government of Nigeria has been drawn to the clandestine activities of unscrupulous elements parading themselves as agents and deceiving unsuspecting young Nigerians into believing that Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, provides easy access to "greener pastures" for studies and jobs opportunities.

This has led to an alarming influx of Nigerians into the territory in recent times. The resultant effect, being an unprecedented increase in consular cases of stranded young Nigerians in TRNC.

The general public is advised to be on the alert in order to guard against these so called agents in Nigeria or elsewhere peddling admissions and the existence of unverifiable job opportunities in the TRNC.

It is advisable that students and their parents/guardians carry out due diligence checks on any so called university or tertiary institution before application for admission is made. It is also instructive to be forewarned against deceptive advertising of job opportunities in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

I pray God give you the financial strength to travel to that country, so that atleast you will have a first hand experience compare to the one convey on a letter like this! This Northern Cyprus in particular did not have half resources of Lagos state! I don't just want to be too insightful, I would have love to send you a close relations old and recent pictures, he travelled there last year, guess what? We're trying to arrange for his ticket money to return to Nigeria in no time! That place was dreadful, it homes alot of hardened criminals.
