Why We Must Vote Peter Obi - Changing The Status Quo! by Oghene1st: 1:28pm On Oct 21, 2022
We can never deny the fact that the messy situation we are in is caused by past failed administrations of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the present one of the All Progressives Congress (APC). This is never a deniable fact!

The mess is not actually caused by the system like we have lived to believe. Since we trust that the system is corrupt, we have never spared the integrity of the system whenever we complain about the corrupt practices bedeviling our dear country. However, the truth is Nigeria has one of the best systems in the world. The challenges we are facing as a people are caused by we consistently putting the wrong people in political roles and positions. And because of what we have been and still doing, we now have thousands of them in sensitive positions.

I want to take a break from the conventional complaint abovementioned, and to state that we contributed to the bad state we are in presently. You see, the system may not be perfect but it is never the problem, the problem is CONTROL. The problem has been those who control the system, I mean from 1999 till present.

Those who we elect because they have the political structures to be elected are actually the problem. They will be the people to control the system, that is the public and civil service. When you vote them, they will definitely make a mess of our affairs because they believe they have the political structures in place to be returned. It is an arrogant situation sponsored by our primordial minds.

The structures both the APC and PDP are always quick to brag about are the people from corrupt party hierarchies. There are over a thousand of them. They are party leaders from the ward, local government, senatorial, state, zonal and national levels. They comprise of party chairmen and executives at the ward to national level, party chieftains like the governors, senators, reps, house of assembly members, local government chairmen, elder statemen who alligns with these parties, etc. They have nothing else doing otherthan to feed on public funds.

These people use illegally acquired funds (funds meant for the development of our country) to sponsor party candidates with the hope of making returns. That has been the STATUS QUO, the practice since 1999 till date.

Do you expect a party to spend over N50b of ill gotten wealth just to be elected into power with the sole purpose of serving us? Never. It is not possible. They have to recoup their investments with returns. Returns that are over a thousand percent of their expenses and liabilities combined. That is why we see abandoned projects littered all over the country. It is the handwork of the structures. The party structures of APC and PDP.

We need to shift from this old and odd practice because it has not favoured us. What we must do is vote someone who we know can only get there with the support of the masses, and not by corrupt party structures. Not people who believe they have the financial resources to buy the consciousness of the people. NEVER!

We can only do this if we do away with primordial sentiments. We must not vote along tribal or religious lines come 2023, and also not to be divided by same. We must vote someone that will salvage the situation. It is for our own good. What have we gained over the years from their structures? Nothing! We need a structureless party at this point. We need PETER OBI, the most popular of all candidates without a structure.

VOTE PETER OBI IN ORDER TO CHANGE THE STATUS QUO. WE BEG!!!
