Papa was just smart; if he had said N20,000 the erring policeman would have denied the act altogether ... at N50,000, he had no choice than to declare the correct amount grin

It's a psychology game .. the only reason why the police mistakenly admitted is because he knew the amount wasn't the same.... He would have kept mute if the man came on him with a 20k allegation

That the old man lied is quite irrelevant. Our policemen should be 100 percent honest, upright and incorrigible as they are the ones ENFORCING the law.

Papa used reverse psychology. If he didn't lie, the police man won't admit that he collected money

If he said 20k the officer would have denied it. It is a common trick used to catch thieves. I'm surprised that the police could not recognise this

Too bad, our constabulary is full of kleptomaniac individuals.

The problem in Nigeria is that almost everyone from top to bottom is corrupt, so who will investigate such case.

They will just conduct sham investigation and bury the case

But why did the man lie about the amount of money the policeman collected from him?
leave English alone wtf is constabulary

Papa did nothing wrong, deprieving him the 20k the pains and anguish should incur interest. If na me na 200k i go talk. He collect my money or not? Some police are so dubious to the extent of extorting old men old enough to be their Grandpa. smh.

People fought for police salary to be increased, and it was increased significantly, yet the oloriburukus will not stop extorting the poor masses. What a shame
