Ifeanyi Adeleke, the three year old son of Popular Music Star, Davido Adeleke is dead.

It was gathered that the young Adeleke drowned in a pool at the Family Residence.

A source close to the family stated; “The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” the family source said under anonymity to await an official statement.

He was confirmed dead this evening at a private hospital in Lagos. Prior to Ifeanyi’s death, Davido earlier today was spotted teaching him how to swim.The music star carried Ifeanyi around in the pool as the energetic boy continued to flap his legs.

Davido who was obviously impressed by his son’s performance was heard commenting on how he was a fast learner.

He said: “This one go learn quick”. Davido and Chioma’s loss is coming years after Nigerian singer Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’banj and wife Lineo Didi lost their first child after a drowning incident in 2018.

Daniel Oyebanjo III who was barely one year died after he drowned in a swimming pool at Dbanj’s residence in ikoyi, Lagos state.

I've never been in support of having swimming pool at home when your kids are still too small

That young lad probably went to try out what he's been exposed to that's why you should be careful around kids they're always curious if you talk dem go say na poverty mentality...how on earth would you expose a three year old to the swimming pool?? Omo i can't even type rip for such a kiddo chai

PS: Davido should do something about this spirit of death hovering over him. It's getting too much. How can a man loss atleast 2 persons in his circle yearly. It's becoming more than just a coincidence

Bro no think am like that...bad things happen to people daily. If not you, probably someone close to you. Or Havn't you heard of somebody who loss her whole family in just a day? Lets just be greatful for the gift of life.

According to Linda Ikeji, both Davido and Chioma weren't around when it happened, so whoever the boy was put in his/her care needs to be arrested for child negligence.
