Some people don't understand the scenario been played btw FG and ASUU.... ASUU is demanding for something that has been stamped since and should be implemented.... While ., Federal Government is trying to deny and force a new set of amendments on ASUU... So the number of months FG dragged this issue with ASUU Should be paid to the lecturers..... Federal Government should have hurried and made sure this case did not last for 1month but they were busy forming India Amin....insulting ASUU as they like and overlooking them ... As an employer of Labour, you should follow due process , any agreement you must make with your employees should not have deficits and should run concurrently.... And any delay to enforce such agreement is never the fault of those you employed but your lackadaisical lazy intimidating attitude should be blamed starting from the Education Minister to the Minister of Labour ... Federal Government should sit up and address this situation... We are talking about Education of the country and not rearing of cows and asking for open grazing bills abeg..... This is not about bandits doing their usual business, this is a first class serious issue Government should have tackled once it comes out ..... They should face the music of ASUU pls ... 4 Likes 1 Share |

ozo13: Court doesn't control ASUU, there was a Court injunction for them to start off first before demanding any other thing, and that has been done, now , they have the full right to take another decision.... I hope Buhari led Government can behave like ASUU if court favours ASUU and ask Federal Government to pay them ..... This has been the issue in this forgotten land of Nigeria.... where court orders are not taken serious by the Federal Government once it doesn't favour her.....lols |

Imagine those banks where you have accounts with, assume they go on strike for 1 full month, such that you have money in the account but cannot access it, would you support the bank paying them salary for that month? ArcSEMPECJ: 3 Likes 1 Share |

9jatriot: I will rather investigate the case and if I found out that those who went on strike are demanding for their rights, I will even help them sue those incompetent banks ..... Being my employer , does not make you so Superior to subject me to take decisions we didn't agree on... If I come to your company for an interview, and we agree you should pay me with a particular account, pay me on a particular date, then on a particular amount , but at the end , none of our agreement was done by your company..... Whose fault is it ? If I go on strike and you can't handle the situation and another month comes, bear it in mind that am your worker and you should pay me for that month and the month your attitude made you not to avoid...... Federal Government should have sacked all Lecturers if they knew this strike will linger for good 8 months ,.....very lazy Government.... If you go to a loan App, and collect money from them,.... and you can't pay on that date you were told and agreed to pay, whose fault is it? You must pay for other days that lasted or other months ... If you can't be able to handle issues, pls don't go for that issue.... Lecturers are doing real business in the University.....not bandits or rearing cows |

I totally agree with u bro....the excesses of the lecturers doesn't make dm a Saint in comparison with FG....Same lecturer that lectures in uni will go to private school and teach well and set exam based on what was thought but in public schs they don't give a Bleep...they claim they are not meant to teach but lecture.....what is even the difference. The students are the real scapegoats in the struggle not ASUU...they should count their loses abeg buygala: 2 Likes |

ArcSEMPECJ: Thank you joor.. I'm surprised this is what many nairalanders don't understand. Before this payment, students were already paying lecturers to come to classroom.... As for me, ASUU shl return to full strike immediately |
Re: FG Pays ASUU Half Salaries For October by optimusprime2(m): 2:34am On Nov 04, 2022 |
Fut9ure: Oga, do you even know why ASUU went on strike in the first place? Do you think they went on strike because they just felt like going on strike? Is it even normal how these lecturers are being treated for crying out loud? If you ask me, ASUU needs to go back on Strike immediately until the Government appropriately addresses the matter... enough is enough. |
Re: FG Pays ASUU Half Salaries For October by optimusprime2(m): 2:52am On Nov 04, 2022 |
9jatriot: Dude, the ministry of Finance and the ministry of Education operate on two different wavelengths, so there is no basis of comparison... Try to understand that the tertiary arm of education in Nigeria is currently broken and urgently needs to be addressed. |
