In case you don't know, pre-colonial Igbo was also not united but kept the British off most of Igbo clans for 29 years. They overran you in few days for just one Ijebu clan that even had a little ball to fight. The Ekumeku war was fought from 1883 to 1914 by just one Igbo clan, Anioma. Even the British needed divide and rule Nigeria is using today to defeat the Anioma people. So stop making a comparison where none exists.
