FIFA made a huge mistake by succumbing to russian expulsion from this world cup. It only strengthen western resolve to push their agenda further with this world cup.
During the cold war, FIFA did his best to ensure politics stay out of football. The world cup became a fanatical event in those days producing the likes of Maradona, Pele, Eusebio, Zico and our own Roger milla.
