Why are Nigerians always unfortunate in getting better options when selecting their leaders?

In 2015, based on the plethora of complaints against Jonathan's administration, one would have thought Buhari would be a saviour.

After failing to attain the position for more than 2 times, he wept on national TV, he was presented as an unblemish angel that will solve the problems they claimed to have identified.... Wait sef angry where is that Lai Mohammed? That man deserves some good mending angry

In all honesty, goodluck Jonathan wasn't a good option as at then, but now taking a good look at the situation right now, it appears Goodluck Jonathan was a saint.

Now 2023 is here, Nigerians are never fortunate to have an option or pick a leader without a questionable/criminal tendency.

One of the 3 popular contestants was once a vice president for a long time. At a point, his principal had told the world that he is a theif always ready to plunder.

Another of the contestants is Obidient. Although he stands no chance in the place of things, it is accurate to state that 250 million is no child's play. That amount of money could change many lives in Anambra as at that 2011. Unde his watch, state roads where nothing to write about. He diverted state funds to his family and personal use. If he becomes a presido, una own don finish be that grin

The 3rd na jagaban, his story is out there. Apart form being a kingmaker, he seems to have a thing for the white substance in his younger years. Lagos has metamorphosed into something more polished , but the fact is, jagaban is old. He is old and can't function in the way a much younger folk would.
What's the point to voting another folk that will spend more than a year working on his own health?
Old age comes with health challenges, it's nature. You can't rule millions while you are battling your own survival.

E con be like say una offend person. Of all the popular candidates, there is non worth a single vote

Immediately I read the 5th paragraph about Obi, I knew Zanzibar1 is another illiterate urchin masquerading with the toga of fake 'objectivity'..

You dislike Buhari's performance after voting the failure, yet want us to leave Peter Obi and vote for your Thiefnubbu who was the architect of the buhari calamity on Nigeria and who has the same entitlement tyrannical mentality just like calamity Buhari?

Go to oshodi under bridge and continue your agbero work. E be like say the panel beating wey Una dey collect for that legbu work, dey make Una brain dey shrink everyday.

Average black man doesn't read. Based on Buhari antecedent, remarks etc, it was on obvious to deep thinkers that Buhari wouldn't perform well especially in aspect of economy. People were lied to that yemi Osinbajo would handle economy while Buhari would focus on security. Buhari as a socialist wouldn't allow a capitalist like Osinbajo to handle economy. Reason for economic chaos.
Gej was not necessary a bad option. Three things worked against him - His tribe, Northern hegemony and inexperience. A yoruba man or northerner couldn’t be kicked out like that. If he was a bit brutal in opposition leaders, they wouldn't have strength to campaign against him.

Just to be honest and correct something, Gej was never a good option. With the level of corruption and inequality then, it was best to vote him out.

Now looking back, If I had known, I would have left Gej and his corruption alone and enjoy a better economy. Because Buhari and his entourage has turn out to be a bigger criminal bereft of good economic policies
.

Our problem in Nigeria has nothing to do with any average African not reading. Nigerians are just either stupid or unfortunate, or the combination of the both.
How on earth did Buhari win the second term election? After all the sufferings we experienced in the first term, who were the fools that voted him ?
