The chairman of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, has said he has appealed against the court verdict which ordered his remand in Kuje prison.

Speaking with Journalists in Abuja, Bawa said he would allow the natural course of the law to take its effect, having filed an appeal against the remand verdict. We have appealed against it already so we will allow the natural course of the law to take its effect,” he said.

Blueprint had earlier reported that a High Court sitting in Abuja convicted the Chairman of the anti-graft agency, for contempt of court.

The conviction was in relation to the failure of EFCC to comply with a court order, dated November 21, 2018, directing it to return a Range Rover and the sum of N40 million to an applicant in a suit.

"..The 1999 Constitution also spells out the basic rights but the regime chooses which rights or court orders to respect or obey. This is totally unacceptable.

I already told them. FG will never execute that kind of judgement.
The judge for kuku jail the President after all, Bawa is his appointee.
That car and money alleged to be proceeds of international crime will not be released until the SC gives its final judgement on it.
It is no brainer that the ones alleged of receiving the funds and car will deplete the proceeds of crime if released so EFCC must pursue this case to SC since it is very sure that the assets in question are proceeds of crime. No technical judgement will let them enjoy the proceed of crime.

Efcc.. lol

My own is Tinubu should change his Vp. Tinubu has no spread in the Christain communities in the North, South South and South East while the Fulani Muslims are preaching against him for Atiku in the Northern Mosques. The Kanuri in Borno and Yobe plus the SW can't make him win. I don't know why Shettima is persisting too. I mean Borno and Yobe alone can't make Tinubu win. So, of what benefit is persisting and losing in the end? Let Lalong come in. Shettima can always have another role.

If he does not obey the court rulings, will they also expect those that they are trying to convict obey them too.

So the court order has not been implemented?

Buhari finished Nigeria Kpatakpata!

In South Africa, when such order was given against a former president, Jacob Zuma, it was implemented and he served the jail term but in Nigeria? No! He's still here granting interview.

Don't tell me he wasn't in power when the agency flouted court order.

The Judge is very smart, she knows it's the only way to get compliance Asap. FYI, the Plaintiff wouldn't have approached the court again for execution of the court judgement if EFCC had appealed within a time frame, meaning EFCC did not appeal the original judgement between a stipulated period rather, what EFFC Chairman is Appealing is the Judgement on his Arrest. So he has no option than to comply to that judgement.

Just imagine the hypocrisy. He didn't obey, nor appealed the main judgement because he feels he is above the law. Now that he's convicted by the same court of justice, he now believes that another court should save him.

And he'll expect the ruling in his appeal to be obeyed if it favours him when he has continued to disobey rulings that didn't favor him. This is Nigeria

The Fulanis knows how to protect their own. They're the most corrupt among the tribes in Nigeria. They're always looking towards the south for a scapegoat E.g Diezani , Ekweremadu.

The Fulanis according to Gov Orton has destroyed & rendered Nigeria useless by killings & massive corruption.
The earlier the indigenous people of Nigeria e.g Hausa,Igbo, Yoruba, Tiv, Idoma,Gbagi, Ijaw, Igala etc team up & take back their country from this foreigners the better.

Tafawa Belawa 5yrs,Shagari 5years,Yar'adua 5yrs, Buhari 8yrs. They're all Fulanis.
No to another Fulani man Atiku taking over from another Fulani man Buhari. Nigeria doesn't belong to Fulani.
God bless Gov Samuel Loraer Ortom

the head of each government entity takes praises or blame in terms of the circumstances at hand. Even if the EFCC branch in Enugu starts misbehaving, Bawa is to be blamed because he is the chairman of the EFCC

Everyone is now making mockery of Nigeria judiciary since Buhari assumed office, it's safe to say that Nigeria now has only two arms of Government, Executive and legislative.
