If he does not obey the court rulings, will they also expect those that they are trying to convict obey them too.

That is the problem Nigeria faces that only restructuring can address. His organisation has cases in court that he wants tried and executed. But how can he morally expect that to happen now.
These are the questions only the citizens can answer but Nigerians are too ignorant, weak and divided to craft a working society.

He is the efcc chairman. Order was given by the court on the efcc. If they do not comply, then the buck will stop at the chairman's table.

This is a misnomer, and this is not what Bawa said.

Bawa said they filed an appeal to the judgment on the substantive issue-thus suspending the immediate effect of the court judgment on the return of the seized items, and not the contempt issue.

Who is the government entity? Is it not directed by an individual?

I already told them. FG will never execute that kind of judgement.
The judge for kuku jail the President after all, Bawa is his appointee.
That car and money alleged to be proceeds of international crime will not be released until the SC gives its final judgement on it.
It is no brainer that the ones alleged of receiving the funds and car will deplete the proceeds of crime if released so EFCC must pursue this case to SC since it is very sure that the assets in question are proceeds of crime. No technical judgement will let them enjoy the proceed of crime.
Lol you're more surer than the victim and lawyers from your beer parlor chamber lol.

How then will Nigeria ever be good when we have many people thinking like you. You think the Court that gave that judgement is foolish and does not know the nature of case before it. Anyways, when a system is rotten it affects everyone directly or indirectly even those in support of it.

You are correct. The man you just quoted supporting the impunity under this regime falls under the class of people who have unfortunately yielded to a mental condition called “advanced Stockholm syndrome”. This is a condition where the oppressed comes to love their oppressor. How can someone in this Age of Enlightenment and seeing the great damages that has been done so far to our democracy under this regime, openly support contempt of court orders. The court which we are supposed to rely on as the last hope of common man. Anyways I am happy that the Efcc boss is now a convict, he will never contest any political position in this country again. His opposition will use this against him and he will still end up in the court which he despised.

Just listen to yourself. Court order is court order. When FG took ASUU to industrial court and won a judgment, ASUU should be lawless and waited till SC judgment before acting. The law is supreme and when those elected to protect and execute the law start been selective that is when Anarchy comes in. Weda it is customary nor sharia court, obey before appeal but rascals like the govt of the day think disobeying court orders is been strong. No Govt lasts forever

Since you have been sentenced you must be in the prison till your appeal is determined by the higher court.

The case of ASUU comes to mind, the judgement of the two lower courts
Must be respected before you can come to appeal. A precedent has been established. Bawa should purge himself from the contempt before appearing before another court. It's obvious he won't obey the court of appeal if he does not like the judgement.
This case went to full trial and EFCC couldn't prove her case beyond reasonable doubt as required by Law. the defendant was rightly discharged and acquitted. If not satisfied, EFCC should have immediately appealed the judgement instead of this outright disregard to the court

My own is Tinubu should change his Vp. Tinubu has no spread in the Christain communities in the North, South South and South East while the Fulani Muslims are preaching against him for Atiku in the Northern Mosques. The Kanuri in Borno and Yobe plus the SW can't make him win. I don't know why Shettima is persisting too. I mean Borno and Yobe alone can't make Tinubu win. So, of what benefit is persisting and losing in the end? Let Lalong come in. Shettima can always have another role.
Lalong is another idiot, APC is a losing party. They're all headed for loss. Nigerians are fed up

If the appeal court grants a stay of execution order for a contempt of court judgement, then the judiciary is totally finished

We once adviced your Tinubu but he said he doesn't need Christian votes to become President. Let him romance the north and learn.

Why go to court if you wouldn't abide by the rulings of the court that go contrary to your expectation?

It's too late to change VP. Btw.......the PDP Govs ask Atiku to pick one of them and he did, APC Govs ask Tinubu to pick one of them he refused.
Lol, Shettima is a brilliant, intelligent and smart man. He is also a billionaire too.

If Tinubu becomes President, he will not listen to anybody, anybody.

Watch out.
